falling.
chapter 30.
father.
--------
we walked in and my dad was waiting 10 minutes.

I went straight to kaylas room and sat in there myself to talk to her.

"he came back," I said.

"I want to forgive him so badly but I can't," I cried.

"not after the way he left you crying every night. or the way he changed mom from that joyful person to this sad person she is now." I said.

"wake up, fight this fight with me." I said.

"I know you can't, I'm sorry I keep asking." I said.

I saw my dad and walked to the door.

my mom was sitting next to alex.

I saw her face when she saw my dad.

she looked amazed.

"Chad," she said standing up.

I stayed inside the hospital room with Kayla.

even though I could hear them.

"Mel," he said using a nickname only he had ever called my mom.

short for Melissa, her name.

my mom smiled and started crying.

"how have you been?" she said wiping her eyes.

"lonely, very lonely. how about you?" he said.

I cried watching them.

"lonely." my mom cried.

"why are you here?" she added.

"I came to see you guys, I talked to b this morning and she seemed mad at me, how's my baby Kay?" he asked.

"she's been in a coma for 12 days." my mom hung her head.

"Bailee doesn't know this but," my mom said and looked around.

I was confused.

she looked at alex.

"sweetie why don't you go check on b?" She said to alex.

alex laughed and stood up.

he shut the door.

"I can hear them," I laughed.

he put his arm around me.

"I don't kaylas gonna make it," my mom said.

I cried as alex hugged me.

"the person who hit her was going 98 mph. 98!" I heard her say.

"they hit right in front, they were drunk." my mom explained.

"damn," he said.

"Bailee told the parent of this kid that she raised a murderer and made her cry." my mom said.

"well, bailed probably cried herself. it's hard for her to loose her best friend," my dad said.

I was shocked.

my mom and dad came in the room.

"hey b," my mom said.

"hi." I said.

"I know you mad at your father, but I'm not, and I understand where he's coming from." my mom said.

"how the hell can you forgive someone so easily, mom. I'm sorry but this is ignorant of you." I said.

"well I'm sorry that your not mature enough to understand." my mom rolled her eyes.

"mom I understand you think your loosing your daughter but that doesn't mean you need to try your best to loose me too, I'm sorry I'm nothing without Kayla." I said.
