I only heard my mommy's side. I don't know if that's the truth. I still want to give my father the benefit of the doubt even though I really want to believe that he has a mistress. Kaya naman nag-imbestiga ako.

We have a company. It's a pawnshop. My mother's family has a pawnshop as their business. Just like the family of my father. They both had the same business. Kaya naman noong nagpakasal sila, nag-merge ito kaya mas lalong lumaki. My father was the one who's managing it right now.

Noong hindi pa sila nag-aaway ni Mommy, lagi ako pumupunta sa company namin. Natigil lang noong nagsimula na ang mga away nila.

Now, I'm going there right now to investigate. If he's really in there in his office. Or what he is doing in lunch time. Is he eating on his office or in a canteen? Is he still working or he's seeing someone else at some restaurant? Just like my mommy's accusation on him before?

Wearing only my grey hoodie and sweatpants, a mask to hide my face, nagpahatid ako sa aming family driver patungo sa aming kumpanya.

Hindi rin katagalan noong makarating kami roon. Inayos ko ang sarili at lumabas na ng sasakyan. Dire-diretso ang pasok ko noong makalimutan kong may security guard nga pala.

Nilagay ko ang hoodie ko sa aking ulo at binaba ng kaunti iyong mask na suot at inangat iyong sunglasses para makilala noong guard.

"Shh!" I put my index finger on my lips.

He nodded his head understandingly. I smiled at him and tapped his shoulder.

Nagdiretso na ako papasok sa loob. Huminto ako sa tapat ng lalaking receptionist. He looked at me weirdly. I did the same so he can recognize my face.

"Miss Snorri! What can I do for you?" he smiled.

"Is my father still here? O lumabas na siya?" tanong ko at inangat na ang mask ko.

"Hindi pa siya bumababa, miss."

"Okay, thank you!"

Dumiretso ako patungo sa elevator. Pinagtitinginan ako ng mga empleyado rito. Dahil na rin siguro sa ayos ko. I just ignored them. They should mind their own business!

Pinindot ko ang floor patungo sa office ni Daddy. Pagdating ay naabutan ko ang kanyang sekretarya roon. I also show him a bit of my face so he can recognize me.

"Snorri!" he said, a bit shocked.

"Don't tell Daddy that I'm here!" agap ko agad. "Anyway, what is he doing?"

"He's in a meeting with some investors, Snorri."

Lumapit ako sa desk niya at pinatong ang mga braso roon. Luminga-linga ako sa paligid. Looking for some suspicious women that can be his mistress.

Abala naman lahat sa pagtatrabaho. Walang tumitingin sa akin.

"Saan kumakain ng lunch si Daddy?" tanong ko.

"Minsan sa opisina niya. Nagpapahatid siya ng pagkain. Madalas naman sa isang restaurant."

Binalik ko ang tingin sa kanya. "Sino kasama niya? May babae ba siyang nakakasama kumain sa labas?"

"Kung mayroon man, puro mga kasosyo niya lang sa negosyo," sagot niya.

I looked at him suspiciously. He's been my Daddy's secretary for years now. He's loyal to my Daddy. I don't know if he can be loyal to his family too. Baka naman pinagtatakpan niya lang si Daddy?

Kahit magkaibigan kami, hinding-hindi ko siya mapapatawad kapag nalaman kong he's been tolerating my Daddy's infidelity!

"Where is your bodyguard, Snorri? Did you come here alone?" he said.
