A new mate for her

Elder Kenan POV

It was 3 hours before my grandson's birthday party. He was excited about it and that he found his mate. I smiled at my wife and mate as she appointed servants to place things here and there. I wrapped my arms around her waist and kissed her mark lightly. She shuddered and I grinned while she glared at me.

"Are you feeling cold, my dear?" I asked while grinning.

"No, dear mate." She pulled away and sighed. "But I suggest you go and leave me be. For if you don't I'm afraid this will never get done."

"Is there something on your mind, my sweet?"

"It's Merit. She is using the bonding dullers more and more. We have to find her a suitable mate and soon."

"How do you know this?"

She smiled. "You should know by now that I see many things."

"Could it be that I am mated to a part witch part elf?"

"No. You are fully mated to a dark elf who loves you very much and loves bearing your mark."

"That I am glad of."

I kissed her for a long while until I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned and saw the other Elders. I grinned at them and gestured towards the meeting room. Once we were all seated Elder Byran, whose a vampire, sighed and rubbed his temples.

"Only 300 more years of this s*it," he muttered.

We all laughed and agreed. The reason for this is because all Council members serve a certain number of years. City councils serve 3 to 5, State council serve 10, High council members serve 300, Elders serve 600, and the Elite serve for life.

I cleared my throat of laughter and spoke. "First order of business is to grant Micheals wife a divorce. Are we all in agreement?"

Everyone nodded and we all put our hands together and focused our energy on breaking their bond. Once we felt that it was done we all leaned back, slightly exausted.

"I haven't done that in 150 years," Elder Myler said.

We all nodded in agreement.

Elder Myler spoke again. "So do we take his power away and the territory as well?"

Elder Kai, whose a feline shifter spoke up. "Of course! He doesn't care about his wife or his son. Merit is shooting up with bonding dullers just so she won't feel pain. We need to find her a new mate and soon."

I nodded. "Are we all in agreement?"

Everyone nodded and we all decided to meet with Micheal alone. I heard music and voices outside the door adn grinned at everyone.

"Are you all ready to have fun?"

They nodded and we left.

I know it's extremely short but it's that time of the month and I feel crampish.
