Suki and I drift into
the same rooms without

really thinking about it.

I work on my maths homework,

while she brings her weekend project
and we scribble away
on the dining table

together

in the quiet.

Or some days,
I'll wander into her room
with a book in one hand

and a mug of hot chocolate
in the other

and sit on the beanbag
under her window,

while she uses Mother's laptop
to s
     c
     r
     o
     l
     l
 through baking recipes.

The rain taps  against the glass
and in the   s i l e n c e

                            we find rest.

a.n.   a bit of a break from the heartbreak (haha.)
