'I bought you two something,'
Mei and Kiya look surprised,
then Kiya signs, 'me too!'
'I did too, but you first,'
Mei bumps her shoulder with mine,
and grins at me.
'Wait here,'
I stand up and rush inside,
I grab two small packages
wrapped in cute tissue paper
and run back-
'close your eyes
and hold out your hands,'
The two of them grin and do as I say.
And I place one each in their small hands.
They open their eyes
and open the paper carefully,
giggling excitedly the whole time-
"Oh, Haru-chan. . ."
Mei gasps,
the M shaped keychain
shimmers and glitters
under the lights.
Kiya holds up her K
and I can see the sparkles
reflected in her eyes.
'You are the best friends I've ever had,
don't forget me, okay?'
