It's not straight away,
it's not like we can just pack up and leave,
or so Mother says.
There are documents that need fixing,
visas and tickets.
So when Monday rears it's ugly head,
Suki and I still have to lace up our shoes
and go to school.
Rain patters and slides off of our umbrellas
as we walk from Mother's car to the gates
