Trust Him

After detention John walked Alex home, they were neighbors after all.

Alex was lost in thought, he did that quite often. Specially in the last few weeks.

John walked silently besides him, watching him. John noticed he actually watched Alex quite a lot, but there was just something...off, about him.

Or her?

Whatever.

He felt like he was missing something about him. And thought that if he keep looking at him he would get what.

But that didn't seem to work.

So he did the obvious.

Ask.

"Hey Lexy" He called "Is...everything ok?"

No. He wanted to say. Scream he wasn't ok.

"Yeah, I'm fine" He lied.

"You sure? You seem a bit off lately "

"I'm sure John, I'm ok, thanks for asking anyways"

John decided to let it be, Alex was hiding something but it was clear he wasn't gonna tell.

"M'kay. I believe you Lexy"

Why is it so hard to trust? He only wanted to trust John. Why is everything so hard?
