<<<APHMAU'S POV>>>
"Aph! Aphmau!"
"Hello?"
"APHMAU!"
I jumped up in shock and hugged my knees as I jumped to the corner. Huh? I'm in bed? This isn't my bed though. Wait, I'm still at Katelyn's house? How did I get here? I patched myself up in the bathroom and passed out, I remember that!
"Aph, are you okay?" Katelyn asked riddled with worry.
"Uh, yeah! What time is it?" I asked.
"It's gone past ten o'clock. You didn't sleep that long from what I remember when you were in hospital," Katelyn said in thought.
"I-I do sometimes!" I said quickly.
Katelyn looked at me; she couldn't see my eyes, no one has ever can see my eyes. No one has ever seen my face properly, I have hidden my face for years. Is it bad that I feel safer behind the mask...?
"Come on, my Dad made us breakfast!" Katelyn cheered.
She ran out the room. I got a whiff of what was being made...pancakes. I remember when things were different...I remember my fifth birthday.
*Flashback*
"Aphmau, my little angel! It's time to get up!" Dad clapped.
"No. Five more minutes, Daddy..." I moaned.
"Oh, that's a shame! I had made pancakes with fresh orange juice too." Dad sighed.
My little eyes immediately shot open and I went darting past Dad, he laughed and followed me down the stairs to the breakfast bar. I jumped up attempting to get on the seat myself.
"Aphmau, my little angel! Let me help, sweetie." Dad smiled.
He hoisted me up and sat me at the bar stool. I noticed banners in the kitchen and I looked around in confusion.
"Daddy, why are there banners everywhere?" I asked curiously.
"Wait, you don't know who's birthday it is?" Dad asked in shock.
I rubbed my chin and then shook my head. I stared at the banner, it says five.
"Daddy, who's birthday is it?" I asked.
"It's yours, sweetheart." He chuckled.
I stared in shock and then shook my head in disagreement.
"I'm older than five, I'm four!" I said.
"No you're now five so you're older!" He smiled.
"No I'm older, Daddy! I'm four! One, two, three, five, four!" I said counting my fingers.
"Huh? What does that school actually teach you?" Dad asked as he rubbed his head.
*Flashback over*
I miss all that...I got up and found a note. What the? From Nicole? What actually happened last night?
Hey, Aphmau. I helped you get back into bed last night, you were squirming and fidgeting. I hope you're okay...you passed out after the patching yourself up incident.
