"Emily Faye"

The whole room is silent. The report continues on unnoticed by anyone. No, this can't be happening. As If in slow motion my family, one by one, begins to turn their attention to me. One of the selected. I begin the feel completely overwhelmed. No. I-I can't do this, I can't leave my family. This isn't real its a bad dream, it must be. It has to be.

"Em you did it!" Poppy exclaims in disbelief and triumph, ending the uncomfortable silence. And thats when I loose all my composure. Without warning I burst out of the room and start to storm off, with no destination in mind. Hot tears pour down my redenning face. Finally after weeks I let all my emotions flood out and somehow I feel liberated. No more hiding. No more fake smiles. The harsh night air stings on my skin as I rush down the street. I can't go. Won't go. I don't want to be stuck in a stupid castle full of people I don't know and a prince who I already hate. They can't make me leave.

But apparently they can.

The next morning was a rush of officials, stylists and signing forms. Of course I refused to partake in any of it and locked myself in the bedroom where I waste hours weeping away my problems. By mid afternoon the palace car had come to whisk me away. Now, I'm rather grumpy sitting in the car with my family as I mindlessly watch houses race by outside the dim window.

"Em it won't be that bad" I ignore Poppy although it's slowly killing me. "Come on please talk to me" taking a quick glance to my left I see the tears welling up in her innocent eyes. holding my cold from I look back out the window.

"Emily Faye I have had enough of you're bad attitude, you're just being plane rude. If anything you should be honoured to have this opperatunity" my mum starts to lecture me.
"Could you just listen to what I want for a second. I never wanted any of this all I want is to go back home, back to my life. Of course I want the best for you guys but there's other ways than moving into a strange place where people are going to judge me" I try one last time to explain. But like always they don't understands. The rest of the drive is silent and all I want to do is curl up on my uncomfortable bed.

Although I know I'll see my family in a number of days, saying goodbye is still heartbreaking. After saying a lengthy goodbye to my parents I turn to a tearful Poppy and ingulf her in a comforting hug.
"I'll be back before you know it" I whisper into her tiny ear.
"I'm going to miss you" I hear through sniffles.
"I'm going to miss you too Poppy".

And with that I boarded the plane.
