If there's anything I've learned its that there isn't enough Junghope in the world. I've taken to gathering all my crappy oneshot ideas and compiling them into this book for you to enjoy. 🐠
Flashback to about a week ago when I got dragged into volunteering at Barr Lake, a state park in Colorado. While I'm up there they have me going through old books and lugging around them back to this storage space.
So they have this box of books they wanted to throw out and I decided to maybe just take some (8 mini field guides) . I stuffed all the mini hand books on flowers, reptiles, and birds that I could fit into my hoodie.
I put my hands in the front pocket to hide all the books, grab my backpack, and head to the bathroom to stuff all those books in there.
When I get back to work I spot this set of books. I lost my shit laughing. This woman Cathrine A. "Bridie" Hurlbutt had written not one but THREE full books about her life with birds.
See Barr Lake is pretty much a central hub for birds in Colorado and they have a lot of weird bird shit. But this, this was just too much for me.
Her books are self published, she's probably dead, and she's no where on the internet and I felt the need to show her face and books SOMEWHERE. Which meant that I stole those too, read them all, fell in love with them, and now here we are.

She let birds live in her house because she fucking loved birds, she had a bird ambulance, stole a turkey from the police after it terrorized a restaurant after it went rouge from the kitchen, she studied birds pretty much her whole life, commissioned that painting of Jesus with some birds. She just really really really really liked birds.
So in honor of Catherine the next chapter will feature bird lover Hoseok and wine lover Jungkook.
