Chapter 20

Finding the stone was easy for Minghao but he didn't have enough money.

Minghao sighed before going back home. He wasn't rich. He was just in an average family.

He walked past a cafe and saw a help wanted sign. He didn't want to ask his parents for money so, he decided to get a part time job.

He walked into the shop and asked if he could work here.

After some time, he got accepted and his work would start tomorrow after school.

Minghao didn't even know why he wanted the sapphire stone so badly.

He felt like he needed it.

The next day after school instead of going back home with Hanjae he went to the cafe and started his first day of work.

Everything went smoothly the whole day. Soon he got the hang of it and did his job well.

At the end of the week he got his pay check. He smiled proudly.

He continued to work there for some time. He already had enough money but he wanted to work more to give some of his money back to his parents.

After few weeks, Minghao decided to get the stone the next day after school.

Hanjae was wondering why Minghao hasn't been going back home with him.

"Hey babe," Hanjae said as he saw Minghao at his locker.

"Yes?" Minghao asked as he closed his locker.

"Where have you been going? You seem busy these past few weeks"

"Oh I have been working in a cafe to earn some money"

"How come?" Hanjae asked confused.

"Cause I realised that if I want things, I shouldn't ask my parents and earn it myself. I'm also giving my paychecks to my parents." Minghao smiled.

Hanjae nodded before smiling.

"That's why I love you. You always care for your parents and everyone." Hanjae kissed Minghao's cheek.

"Let's go to class now." Minghao nodded.

"Okay"

After school, Hanjae kissed Minghao's forehead before saying goodbye.

Minghao blushed before waving goodbye.

He walked into the same shop he found the stone and asked for it.

"Would you like it as a ring or a necklace?" the shopkeeper asked.

"Necklace please." Minghao said.

They nodded and passed the necklace to Minghao.

Minghao thanked them before paying for it and walking out of the store.

Minghao went to the cafe and started his work again.

Once he was finished with his work, he went back home and took a shower.

He dried his hair before taking out the sapphire stone.

He examined it before deciding to try it on.

He was about to wear it,

until his phone started ringing.

He picked up his phone and answered it.

Hello? -Minghao

Hey Minghao! -Hansol

Oh hey Hansol, what's up? -Minghao

Tomorrow wanna hang out with the others? -Hansol

Sure. Can I bring Hanjae? -Minghao

Oh come on Minghao, you guys are always together. How about you and your best friends? -Hansol

Chan and Seungcheol are dating too you know -Minghao

Minghao rolled his eyes.

They are our best friends. Not Hanjae. He's your boyfriend. -Hansol

Fine fine I won't bring Hanjae okay? -Minghao

Good see you tomorrow! -Hansol

Minghao ended the call. Hansol was right, he has been spending all his time with Hanjae.

Minghao decided to leave the necklace on the table for now. He decided to get some rest for tomorrow as it was a Saturday.
