Chapter 26

Lyrics POV

My eyes were wide as I turned to Trey, “Are you serious?” I asked him.

Out of all of the places that he could have taken me he brought me to a place that was made for seven year olds. I stared at the children that were bouncing around on one of the many air filled fun houses.

“I am dead serious, they said that we could go in as long as we don’t squish any young children and kept our language appropriate.”

“Trey, you do know that we aren’t six anymore right?” I asked as he pulled me over to a bouncy castle that was shockingly empty.

He shrugged, “Don’t ruin it. I like to think that I am six, is that a problem?” he opened up the flaps and took off his shoes at the same time. He glanced at me, “You coming?”

I sighed and ran a hand through my hand hair and slowly started to pull off my shoes, “You are ridiculous, you know that?”

He nodded as a smile spread across his face, “Yeah, but you love it.” He grabbed me by my waist and threw me into the house, laughing as I bounced into the air.

I couldn’t help but laugh with him as he crawled in and did a belly flop next to me causing me to fall from where I was trying to get up.

“Hey!” I called as I fell onto my butt, “Watch it!” I giggled.

He smirked and got up, “You want to know what’s really fun? He asked.

“What?”

“This!” he yelled as he bounced up and down a few times before falling down, causing me to shoot up into the air. I started to laugh as he continued to do this, bouncing me higher and higher every time.

After about five minutes he finally stopped and reached his hand down to pull me up. I couldn’t keep the smile off my face as he kept my hand in his, linking his fingers through mine.

“So, are you having fun?” he asked with a smirk, knowing that I was. “Or are you too old for this?”

I glared at him playfully, “Shut up, you’re the one who thought of it, I am just merely enjoying myself.”

He pulled me to him wrapping his arms around me, “Good. That is why I brought you here you know. I want you to be happy.”

I smiled slightly, feeling my cheeks getting warm. “Well I am thank you.” I said shyly as I looked down.

He put his finger under my chin and brought it up so I could look into his eyes, “You have nothing to thank me for.” He said.

“But I do, I don’t think you realize that.”

He smiled at me and leaned in to kiss me when all of the sudden a voice made us pull apart.

“Yuck, cooties!” a little voice said as we were about to kiss.

We jumped apart, falling onto the rubber floor of the bouncy castle as our heads both turned towards the little girl that was standing on the other side of the safety net with her hands on her hips.

“Sorry.” Trey said sheepishly, “But I can tell you that when you get as old as us, you won’t think we have cooties anymore.”

The little girl scrunched up her face, “That’s gross, everyone knows that boys have cooties, my brother told me so; and he’s 15.”

I couldn’t help but smile at her; she couldn’t have been more than eight years old and had pretty golden colored hair that was tied up in a ponytail.
