Sophie's POV
"Keefe, please wait for us. We all wanted to go to the beach together."
"Fine, I'll wait, for you."
That sent me to the day when we were going to storm Ravagog and Keefe was going to leave early. I told him to wait, and he said more or less the same exact thing.
Snapping back to reality I saw Keefe with his hands to his mouth, realizing what he said.
Tears streaming down my face he ran over to hug me, which I was grateful for.
"I'm so sorry Sophie, I didn't mean to." He says.
Choking back tears I reply with, "It's okay."
"Can I tell you something, that I was going to tell you a while ago?" He asks.
Not giving me a chance to answer he stoops down and kisses me, and when he pulls away he says, "I love you, Sophie. I always have, and I always will."
