Disgruntled, Mephiles paces the floor, trying to think, as me and the others whine out in desperation.

"What are we going to do?" asks Scourge. The dark-haired male responds calmly.

"I don't know."

"Well, we gotta think of something!" shouts Fiona in frustration, only irritating him further.

"I know," he barks back, lips pulled into a snarl. I groan loudly, slamming my head against the kitchen table with my arms wrapped firmly around my aching stomach.

"I'm going to die!"

"Oh, shut up! We're all dying over here," snaps the green-haired man, in just as much pain as me, his ears pinned back.

"Well, maybe if you didn't break my rationing rule, we wouldn't be having this problem so soon," I spit back with just as much fire. It's been nearly two weeks, not even, and we're all dying of starvation! Well, everyone, but Mephiles. I curse him for not needing food to survive. This is hell, pure hell. We're going on day three without having a bite to eat, and prior, I found out that Scourge had been sneaking extra helpings of what little food we had. Heaving a long sigh, I ask,

"Didn't you guys have food back at your old hideout? What if we went there?

"Yeah, but it's been months since anyone's been there. Everything's ought to be old and rotten by now," Fiona grumbles. Mephiles let's out a low growl.

"Not to mention, the place is probably swarming with heroes. It would be the first place I would check if I were them. It won't be worth going, even if there are a few things left unspoiled."

"Right." I pick up my head when I think of something else. "Hold on, what about my dimension?" He stops pacing and looks at me with a thoughtful hum.

"That could work." But, he groans. "Though, in order to do that, we would have to find Nazo. He has that chaos emerald still. Getting it from him would be far easier than stealing another from the heroes. I would take us there, but unfortunately, I am still not fully myself." He sighs, clenching and unclenching his fist while looking down at it. "Even with all the healing you've been doing, I'm not at full power yet. I still feel drained from having to open all those portals back at the jail, and those only went a short distance. I can't imagine how exhausted I'd be to make one going there. Whatever those chains were that they put me in weakened me greatly."
