Chapter 9- "Kingston?"

Until the referee rings the bell

Until both your eyes start to swell

Until the crowd goes home

What we gonna do ya'll?

Give em hell, turn their heads

Gonna live-life-til-we're-dead.

Give me scars, give me pain

Then they'll say to me, say to me, say to me

There goes a fighter, there goes a fighter

Here comes a fighter

That's what they'll say to me, say to me

Say to me, this one's a fighter

Dean's POV:

“Yo man, what's going on with you and that nerd girl?" Aaron cornered me while Mike went to get some chips and drinks.

“Dude nothing. I just like messing with her."

“Messing with her? Cause word on the street is she's property of Dean Taylor." he mocked raising his voice a few octaves.

“It was payback for something she did, no need to take it out of context. Unless......... unless you like her?" I raised my eyebrows suggestively.

“Dude that's gross. She alright but she's yours and I like to try more than one flavour before I settle if you know what I mean."

“Since when did you want to become a player Aaron? So much for being the sensitive one in our group."

“Oh you don't know everything about me Taylor."

“I do know you have no game." I teased and starting laughing at his expression

Before Aaron could make a comeback, Mike came back in. “What are you laughing about Taylor?"

“Just how wanna- be- Mr Player over here had no game."

“Haha took him long enough to see why the ladies always diss him." Mike laughed

“Ladies don't diss me, Mr sombrero." Aron retorted throwing a pillow at Mike.

“Dude that's racist." Mike deadpanned but I could see the teasing glint in his eye telling me to go along with it. Mike's part Mexican and one day we found this picture of him wearing lady clothed with a sombrero on top of his head. Me being the great friend I am; teased him for days about it. I tried to hold in my laugh and keep my face neutral as I cut in.

“Yea Donovan, not cool" You could tell Mike was struggling to hold in his laugh as he turn slightly away from Aaron; his shoulders slightly shaking.

While Aaron wasn't looking I gave mike a signal as I put my phone on record and directed it at Aaron's face.

“ Sorry man, didn't mean to offend you." Aaron apologised looking actually worried.

“Nah you crossed the line Donovan, leave and don't come back"

“W-what?" Aaron stuttered his jaw dropping. I grip one hand closer to my mouth to stop a laugh from escaping.

“Did I stutter?" Mike rose his eyebrows going into fake queen B mode.

“Come on Mike, it was just a joke. I'm sorry dude." Aaron pleaded.

“ Too late Donovan, what's done Is done. Get out before I kick your ass out."
