I awoke with a start, sitting bolt upright.
I looked over to Daisy - who had just done the same.
'Bad dream?' She asked.
'Im not sure...' I muttered.
'Me neither...'
We looked each other in the eye.
'KYE training.' I said.
'In a village.'
'With a girl called...'
'Annalise.' We said simultaneously.
'How is that possible?' Daisy gasped.
'I don't know.' I replied.
I looked at the clock.
3:51.
There was a huge crash that shook the walls.
'What was that?' Daisy gasped.
'Lets go see.'
We both stood up and left the bedroom, and went down to the empty dining room. The chairs were thrown everywhere, some of the tables overturned.
'What the heck...'
Daisy and I weaved our way through the tables and outside.
Nothing had changed.
'What just happened?' Said Daisy.
I ignored her.
I was looking up at something.
From where we were, you could always see stars. Just stars. I don't know how we had so much light on the ship - it was another thing that was just there - but I knew that we were always looking up at space.
And, sitting directly above the building with sleeping rooms and dining room in, was a huge hovercraft.
It had crashed onto the building.
Daisy and I looked at each other, but before either of us could say a word, we had collapsed to the floor.
