Chapter 24: Final Battle (Part 3)

Optimus entered the castle and began to look for Megatron. He searched everywhere for him but had no luck finding him. Then he went outside and that was when Megatron pounced on Optimus and pinned him on the ground but Optimus kicked him off of him and ran towards him. The two drew out their sabers and went at each other. "Megatron, I'm here to make sure that your plan to rule Cybertron does not succeed," said Optimus. "Oh really? Try and stop me Prime," said Megatron and he pushed Optimus back and Optimus skidded to a halt. Optimus then put his saber away and drew out his spinning gun and fired at Megatron but he dodged every laser beam and kicked Optimus in the chest and Optimus fell to the ground. Amara appeared and saw her father fighting against his enemy. "DAD!" Amara yelled and she ran towards Optimus and Megatron. "Amara, fall back. He's too powerful," said Optimus. Megatron saw an advantage and punched Optimus in the face and knocked him out cold. That was when Amara lunged at him and tackled him to the ground. Megatron pushed her off and fired his gun but she blocked the beams with the shield of power and used it to hit him in the face and that sent him flying to the ground and he didn't move at all. Amara then heard Optimus groan and she helped him back to his feet. "Dad, are you ok?" asked Amara. "I'm fine. Are you ok sweet spark?" said Optimus.  "I'm alright," said Amara and they both hugged each other. "Let's help the others get rid of the decepticons," said Optimus. "Ok Dad. Let's go," said Amara. "OPTIMUS!" They turned around to see Megatron charging towards them. "Amara, go help the others. I'll take care of him," said Optimus and she ran off to help the team. However, she stopped and turned around to see Megatron and Optimus fight against each other. Optimus was about to reach for the star saber when suddenly Megatron saw his target and stabbed Optimus in the chest with the dark star saber, barely missing his spark chamber. "NOOOOOO!" Amara cried out as tears ran down her face. Megatron took the saber out of Optimus's chest and punched him so hard that it sent Optimus flying to the ground. He landed with a hard and loud THUD and didn't move at all. Optimus looked at Amara for a few seconds and then slipped into unconsciousness. Megatron approached his enemy and chuckled evilly and said,"Finally. The last Prime is dead." Amara looked at the star saber that was laying there next to Optimus's motionless body and saw an advantage and grabbed the saber. "MEGATRON!" Amara yelled and she ran towards him. Megatron looked at her charging towards him and grabbed his saber and they went at each other. "Prepare to join your father with the all spark princess," said Megatron but she broke his saber with the star saber and then it was nothing but scrap. Megatron lunged at Amara scratching her face with one of his claws. "AAAH!" Amara yelled in pain and then activated her rocket boosters and took off with Megatron holding onto her. They both went flying high in the air and it caught the attention of the autobots and decepticons. "Look. It's Amara and Megatron," said Bulkhead and all of them watched the two fight to the death. "Come on Amara. Come on," said Shot Blaster. "Come on Soldier. You can do it," said Ultra Magnus. Amara and Megatron continued to fight each other and he scratched her chest leaving a permanent scar on it. She screamed in pain and Megatron was on top of her and began to forcefully push her down and he got his sword out and laughed evilly. "Say goodbye to your family and friends Amara," said Megatron. Amara had a scared look on her face but then it turned into an angry face and said,"No. It's you who should say goodbye Megatron." She now got on top of him gave him a powerful kick which sent him sky falling to the ground. He started screaming as he was falling and then Amara grabbed the star saber and stabbed him in the chest and they both landed on the ground with a very loud THUD and a huge cloud of dust formed and everyone that witnessed it looked away for a quick second and then looked back to see a figure that was carrying something walking towards them. It was Amara carrying a now deceased Megatron and the autobots cheered and ran towards her. "Amara, you did it. You killed Megatron," said Arcee. "Way to go Amara," said Smokescreen. All of the other autobots congratulated her and then she approached Ultra Magnus and Shot Blaster. "Soldier, well done. You destroyed the enemy," said Ultra Magnus. "Thank you sir," said Amara and they saluted each other and then she went face to face with her mech Shot Blaster. "You did it. You did it. You killed Megatron. I'm so proud of my love. I love you," said Shot Blaster. "Thank you. And I love you too," she said and they kissed and embraced each other. Then Amara gasped in horror and said,"Dad," and ran back to the castle and the other autobots followed. When they got there, they saw Optimus lying there on the ground breathing heavily and not moving with his hand placed over his stab wound that was on his chest. Amara knelt down beside her father, held Optimus's hand in hers and put her head against Optimus's. "Dad," she whispered. She looked at her father's stab wound. It was very deep and his spark was beating faintly. Ratchet examined his stab wound and shook his head and said,"I'm afraid that the damage is severe. This is something that I unfortunately cannot fix. I'm sorry," said Ratchet. Optimus groaned weakly and barely opened his optics to see Amara and the other autobots there. "A...mara," Optimus said in a weak voice. "Shhhh. It's ok Dad. I'm here," said Amara and they both gently embraced each other and rubbed their heads together. "M...Megatron. Is....he?" "Yes Dad. He's g-gone. He won't hurt anybody ever again," said Amara. Optimus sighed in relief to hear that. "Amara, you...have proven yourself...to everyone that you can be....a great leader. That's why....I want...you to take my place....as the new.....Prime. Take care of......our family sweet spark," said Optimus and then his breathing began to slow down. "I will Dad. I pr-promise," said Amara. "I....love you....my precious daughter," said Optimus. "I love you too Dad," said Amara and they both rubbed their heads together and Optimus planted one last kiss on her head. Then he spoke his last words and they were,"Take....care of....them," and then he started to shut down. As she watched the light from his eyes start to fade away, Amara started to have a flashback that was full of memories of her and Optimus from when she was born to their last dance. Then Optimus closed his optics and was gone forever. "Oh Dad. Dad," said Amara as tears fell from her optics and she held Optimus close to her chest and she just cried. The other autobots including Ratchet bowed their heads in grief. Amara continued to cry and whispered,"I will always keep you in my spark Dad. Always." Then she laid down next to her father and laid her head on his chest and sobbed silently. Then all of a sudden, Optimus's chest opened to reveal the matrix of leadership. "By the all spark," Amara said to herself. "The matrix of leadership. Amara, it's presenting itself...to you. You're the next Prime," said Ratchet. Amara then turned her head and looked at the matrix of leadership, hesitantly took it out of Optimus's chest and placed it in hers. Then, a beam of light came down from the sky shining it on Amara and then she was lifted up into the air and then was covered by a small beam of light. All of the autobots watched what was happening right before their very optics in awe. Then the transformation was complete and Amara was gently put back down on the ground. Amara looked at her new body for a few minutes and then at everyone else. "Amara," said Ratchet. "You look amazing," said Arcee. "You look....wow," said Shot Blaster. "Thank you everyone. I never thought I was going to be a Prime. I never thought that I was going to be able to handle quite a responsibility. But my father knew that I have lead this team before," said Amara. They all nodded their helms in agreement. "You definitely were meant to be our leader Amara. A great one as well. Just like your father," said Ultra Magnus. Amara smiles and nodded her helm. "Amara Prime to base, Megatron is no more," said Amara.

Back at base:

"I repeat. Megatron is no more," said Amara and everyone cheered with happiness and even hugged each other. "Rafael, please open the space bridge," said Amara. "Activating the space bridge," he said.

Back on Cybertron:

The space bridge opened and Amara said,"Autobots, let's roll," and everyone transformed and drove into the bridge. Amara then turned around and saw....Optimus standing next to her mother Flash Storm, her sister Athena, Alpha Trion and her grandmother Solus Prime and they all smiled at her. She smiled back, nodded her head and transformed and drove into the space bridge.

And that is the end of three part battle. The final chapter will be in the works very soon. Also, I picked the song "You'll Be In My Heart" by Phil Collins from Disney's "Tarzan" because I thought it was the perfect song for the father/daughter bond that Optimus and Amara had.
