Kai's p.o.v

When I woke the next morning Jasper was gone but a note tapped to a rose laid in his spot.

Went home to change and feed, see you at school Darlin~J

I smiled after reading it before I placed it in my jewelry box and putting the rose in water.

"Oh your up, where your boyfriend?"

"He's not my boyfriend and he went home to change."

"So do you like him like him?"

"Yeah I do, I dunno how to explain how happy he makes me feel or happy I feel when he's around."

"I get it, I do I'm happy for you mainly seeing you smile again."

"Thank you for sticking by me."

"Anytime bug that's what I'm hear for and I promise to protect you the way Emily protected Katherine."

"Come on let's get to school."

We were walking to first period when Jasper came up to us or mainly me.

"Good morning Kai."

"Morning Jasper."

"Did you see my note, I left?"

"I did and the rose you also left, thank you."

"No problem, what is your first period?"

"Dance with bonnie."

"Dance? I didn't see you much as a dancer."

"Well I was a cheerleader before you came, so dance fills that void that cheer had."

"You happy? Perky? I can't see it."

"I was once the most popular girl in school, me and Jessica were even best friends at one point."

"I wanna see proof when I come over today."

"Your coming over?"

"Yeah if you want to, that is."

"I would love it."

"Alright I'll see you in second period then,Darlin he says hugging me."

"Bye Jasper."

Dance went by in such a blur that I didn't realize the bell had rung. I was so tired from the new dances were learning that I was about to fall asleep in history.

"Darlin, you okay?"

"Yeah I'm just exhausted from dance that's all."

By lunch time I was feeling even worst and bonnie was starting to notice.

"Bug come on let's go home."

"I'm fine."

"Bug just go home and rest."

"Fine. Let's go."

I followed her to her car and went home and laid down.

Jasper's p.o.v

I noticed bonnie and kai ditched after lunch so I went to check on her. When I got there kai was laying down watching a movie.

"Hey Darlin, you okay?"

"Yeah I wasn't feeling too well after lunch so bonnie made me come home and rest."

"How do you feel now?"

"Better, well enough to make it through a whole school day tomorrow."

"I'm glad, the last 3 classes weren't the same without you."

"I'm sure."

I shook my head at how little she thought of herself.

"Don't talk like that."

"Like what?"

"Like you don't mean anything to anyone because you do trust me."

"Highly doubt it."

"I should go, Alice needs me."

I lied to get out of there, I couldn't handle her talking bad about herself like she was nothing.

"Okay."

I went for a walk and later when I went back, she had her windows locked. I sighed hitting my head against the window.

"Leave Jasper."

My head shot to the direction of her voice to find her and Rosalie standing there.

"Kai please."

"No your lied to me."

"Kai let me explain."

"Goodbye Jasper, she says slamming the door in my face."

"Well that was smart, lying to your mate."

"Shut up Rose."
