Chapter 3- Favours and Gifts

KATE'S POV *------

I woke up collecting the thoughts of yesterday.
yesterday was great .
My room was really messy with empty beer cans and marshmallow packets . I cleaned the mess up and got ready pretty fast . I wore a stripped crop top and long skirt with matching black heels. I made a quick breakfast for me and left for work . I really feel proud of myself when I see my car , My BMW , Its so classy and amazing

I was woken up from my thoughts by my phone's ringtone ; Caller ID - MOM

"Good morning mom!" I sounded as cheerful as I could. I hate to put up my loneliness in front of my parents .

"Good morning honey ! ready for work ?"

"Yes mom , I was born ready ! "

"That's my child ! did you eat breakfast ?"

"Ya ! just a cup of coffee "

"Honey ! ditch your diet plans and have a proper breakfast !"

"Ha ! sure mom ! Got To Go ! work is calling "

"Good bye honey !"

I began driving on the streets of London . Its always great to drive here. Its a stress buster for me . My eyes feel on a huge board with an advertisement about the Cosmo issue . There I stood right in the middle of the board . I had to admit I was looking good . Then a thought struck my mind after a few days this post would be removed and a picture of me and Zayn would feature together ! I uncontrollably started to blush ! I so wish he could see this board before it got removed. I finally reached my office and was greeted by Mrs. Clarie

"Kate ! Darling the photoshoot went great yesterday "

"I know yes !"

"They are kept on your table ; Zayn will help you choose the best one "

"Zayn is coming to the office ?" I was eager to know.

"Hopefully" I so wish he did

"Oh well ohk !" i tried to hide my excitement. I went to my office and saw around 10 pictures of me and Zayn lying on the table . Wow he was great on the cover too.

ZAYN'S POV *------

So today was the day I was gonna do something special for her. I made a plan today I was supposed to go to the Cosmo office and help Kate but I won't ; I would make an excuse and call her and ask her to do a favour for me by choosing the best pic. herself and at night I would give her a surprise as a thank you gift. In that way she won't even think I am flirting with her. Perfect ! I decided to call her right away . My hands were trembling .

"Hello Good morning Kate "

"Hey good morning Zayn "Her voice is so beautiful

"Uh ! well today I was supposed to come to your office to select the pictures but I am so sorry I cannot come." I wish she was disappointed Cause that would make the surprise even more special

"Oh ! well why ?"

"Because I am too busy with the tour rehearsals and stuff so that's why !"

"Ohk ! fine ! you should really focus on the rehearsal , I'll manage it alone here "

"Thanks that will be a favour on my part "

" Ha ! sure ! good bye ! enjoy the rehearsal"

" Sure ! bye ! "

She is so sweet .Ohk so time for some surprise .

KATE'S POV *------

I was a little disappointed but its ohk . I began doing my work .The photoshoot was Really great ! we looked good together .

I choose a pic. in which me and Zayn were incredibly close and his eyes were staring into mine. He looked like a damn hot model .

Time flew by and soon work ended . I drove back home to find Nehal and Samaira waiting outside my flat .

My flat was extremely spacious. Too big for a single person though ! It had 2 bedrooms , a large drawing room and a huge kitchen . I love to cook , it makes me happy :) My room has a huge wardrobe . I love fashion too and I adored heels.

"Kate ! hey! thought we'd pay you a visit all over again !" Samaira said

"And plus we are really hungry and my tummy wants food cooked by you " Nehal told.

"Ha ! Sweet ! come inside girls !"

I loved both of them so much ! they were always by my side through tough times.

Time passed away quickly by cooking , dancing and gossiping until I heard a knock at the door

I opened it and my bodyguard Ahmed handed me a package and a bouquet of rose. Were those for me ? I wondered !

"Mam ! somebody handed me this and told me that Mr. Malik had asked him to give it you !"

"Mr. Malik ???!!"

"Yeah ; I think he was his bodyguard"

My heart beated a million times faster than it usually does. I almost banged the door and eagerly opened the package.

It contained heart shaped cookies. My favourite ! The red rose bouquet had a small card saying :-

"Thank you so much for the favour today ! I hope you choose the perfect photo . Just a small gesture to say thank you :) X"

Aw.... he is so caring . I literally screamed I read it all .

Samaira and Nehal pounced on me with excitement .

"He likes you !!"

"Yes !! he does !!" They were so elated at this thought.

ZAYN'S POV *------

After the bodyguards went away with the things my stomach had 1000 butterflies . What will be her reaction ? will she like it ??

After an hour of desperate waiting ,my phone buzzed it was a text from Kate

"Hi Zayn ! thank you so much for the flowers and the cookies ! it was really special :) I felt really nice X :)"

YES!! SHE LIKED THE GIFT !! I was literally jumping on the floor after reading it !

I replied :

"Any time :) Thanks again ;) Goodbye X :)"

I really appreciated the text . I slept so peacefully the rest of the night , thinking that it might be a start of a new story "

KATE'S POV *------

I texted him an my part . He's really sweet ! The rest of the night went by talking about him and savouring the food. Maybe this is the beginning of a new story ! Our story :) <3
