I groaned as my eyes fluttered open and I looked around the bright room and saw Lucas sleep in chair. He looked like he had been crying a lot

"Lucas" i called out and he looked up and ran over to my side of my bed

"Im sooo sorry lani" he said as he hugged me and kissed me

"Lucas you didn't do anything I-" I got out before he cut me off

"I did lanie I did everything fucking thing you where supposed to be one of my main priorities and I let you get hurt lanie" he said as his eyes started to get watery

"Baby it's okay... things happen" I said while holding his hand

"I should have been the one in this hospital bed not you....you didn't sign up for this" he said while looking down

I sat there for a moment I was speechless. I never saw this side of Lucas he was always tough and never showed his soft side.

"Lucas"I said while turning his head to look at me.

I looked at him for a minute and then moved in for a kiss as we kiss I heard the door open and saw the fam so I broke the kiss and smiled at him

"I love you mr.coly" I said and gave him one last peck on the lips.

"Awe ain't that cute" hara said and I looked at her and smiled

"We glad to see you up lil sis" Troy said putting this big teddy bear on the chair before they all came and attack me with hugs

"Thanks for everything" I said and smiled at them

"We always here for you" blaze said before giving me another hug

They all went and sat down and started to talk or look at tv. I looked around and saw Lucas staring into space.

"Babe is everything okay ?" I asked as I sat up in my bed snapping him out of his stare

"Yeah...just thoughts" he said while playing with his curls

I stared at him because I knew he had something on his mind and I was going to figure out

I grabbed my bottom that I use to call in my nurse and clicked it shortly my nurse walked Im

"Yes miss. Smith?"she said as she came to my bed side

"Can Lucas take me to the snack room please?" I asked and she nodded

"Oh that's fine ill bring in the wheelchair" she said and I thanked her.

As the lady walked out Lucas looked at me confused

"Oh sorry baby you don't mind taking me to the snack room do you" I said while smiling

"Nah" he said while standing up as the nurse came in with the wheelchair.

"Thank you" I said to the nurse as she helped me into the wheelchair.

Lucas pushed my down the hall and into the elevator

"Babe are you sure you okay?" I asked and he nodded "no your not"

He looked at me and sighed.

"Im fine" he said as the elevator doors opened.

"Lucas no your not" I said and I saw he was kinda getting irritated

"Lanie I said I'm ok just let it go" he said while raising his voice a little

"Lucas just open up to me I know something is bothering you" I said as we got into the snack room .
