Chapter 15

~Natsu's Pov~ 

I couldn't help but agree to keep the cat if he wasn't someone's already. Lucy was so happy with him. Also she let me name him. Happy. He kept purring like crazy meaning he was happy so I thought the name would match. Once we was at the vets we was sitting in the waiting room as Happy had climbed to the top of the chairs as Lucy was giggling as I was confused until I felt some weight on top of my head. I looked up to see Happy falling asleep on my head. "I think he likes you" Lucy laughed as I chuckled.

"Think he is tired too" I replied as the vet called us in. Lucy picked up Happy off my head the cat still fast asleep. Heavy sleeper. We got up and headed into the room as took a small while as the vet was checking for a chip. I knew Lucy must of been even more happy to know he didn't have one. I paid for Happy to get a chip put in and for him to have his shots. The vet asked if he was for Lucy as I replied with a 'yep', popping the 'p' as I did so. Happy woke up just as the vet started and didn't like the chip being put in much.

Lucy would pet his head as the shots were being done as it was easy to see Happy hated this place now. Once all done we was given a cat carrier for Happy as Lucy was carrying him herself as I carried the carrier. "Lucky the pet store is next door" I spoke as Lucy ended up giving me a quick kiss. I smiled toward her as she thanked me again. That moment made me feel much better to agreeing. I knew this would get Wendy to beg for her own cat as she had asked for one before. Once in the pet store I let Lucy buy what she wanted for Happy.

She was having fun as well as Happy who was enjoying her attention. "First pet?" a worker asked as I nodded. They soon laughed slightly. "Gonna be one spoiled cat" I laughed as Lucy had gotten everything Happy needed and some extras. By some I meant a lot. Yep one spoiled cat. We got Happy in the carrier as he was confused by it at first but soon fell asleep inside of it. I paid for the items as we had to have the store worker to help carry it to the car. "No spoiling the cat to much Lucee" I spoke putting Happy on the floor of passenger side. 

"Think tad too late" Lucy laughed as I pulled Lucy close to me as I kissed her forehead. She smiled toward me as I put my forehead on her's. "In end I think it's me who spoils you" I whispered as Lucy laughed slightly her hands going around my neck. "Most likely" she replied giving me a quick kiss. "Lets head home" I spoke smiling toward Lucy who nodded as she got into the passenger side as I closed the door for her. I headed to the drivers side getting in and started up the car. 

"He's so cute" Lucy whispered looking down toward Happy as I chuckled. I was glad she was happy. She normally was sad this time of year. I was glad she was much stronger to handle the death of her mother. I then started driving us home. I was unsure how long it took but we got home as the sun the setting. Lucy and I opened our doors heading out. I informed her I would be taking the stuff inside as she took Happy inside who woke up at the end of the drive wanting out the carrier. Lucy went inside as it took three trips to get all the stuff inside. 

"KAWAII!" I heard Wendy shout from upstairs. "I let Happy find her after I put his green collar on" Lucy informed me as I chuckled. We then started to go through what Lucy brought. Took at lest an hour to set up the bed, starching post, box of toys and so on. We had a huge area in the walk room for the stuff as Wendy came down holding a purring Happy. "We got a cat!" Wendy nearly shouted in joy as Happy didn't mind the shouting.

One chill kitty. "Yep, his name is Happy" Lucy replied as Wendy looked toward me. "Why let Natsu name him?" Wendy asked as rolled my eyes. Lucy only laughed as I only noticed she was walking without her stick. "Let me guess left the walking stick behind?" I asked as Lucy then looked down at her right hand in shock. She didn't even notice herself. Wendy put Happy down as she rushed to Lucy hugging her. "You got stronger a lot faster than anyone else thought" Wendy spoke laughing slightly.

Lucy smiled hugging back. "Seems so" Lucy replied in some shock as Happy was looking at his stuff the first thing he was doing was playing with a ball of red yarn. "Alright it's late why don't we all head to bed" I spoke not wanting to push Lucy anymore than she basically did today. She was so happy she didn't even notice. "Hai" Lucy and Wendy replied as they pulled away from their hug. Wendy went upstairs after saying night to Happy as I put my hand on Lucy's waist pulling her close to me.

Lucy smiled putting her hands on my shoulders. "You need as much rest as you can with the wedding coming so soon" I spoke as Lucy nodded pulling me into a kiss. I couldn't help but kiss back my other hand going onto Lucy's cheek as I deepened the kiss. We was like that for a small while as we pulled away when needing air. We was both catching our breaths as I heard Happy purring and felt him rubbing on my legs. We looked down to see him laying on my foot. "Kawaii!" Lucy whispered as I chuckled.

"Lucky you got a spare bed for our room" I spoke as I had a feeling Happy would like being around others more than alone. Lucy bent down picking Happy up as I walked to the last bag grabbing the bed as we headed up to our room. I put the black cat bed in the corner next to the door as Lucy put Happy down on it as he yawned laying down as Lucy and I changed into our pjs before heading to bed.
