Isabelle's POV
We walked through the unlocked door and it was dark.
"I don't like this. I don't like this at all." Hermione said.
"Not me either." I said.
"Where are we anyway?" Harry asked.
"Looks like a graveyard." Hermione said.
"This is no graveyard, guys." Erika said.
"It's a Chess Board." Ron and Erika said together.
The room lit up.
"There's the door." Harry said.
We tried to walk to the door, but the chess pieces drew knives.
I yelped and held onto Erika's arm.
"Now what do we do?" Hermione asked.
"It's obvious, isn't it? We got to play across the room. Alright, Harry. You take the empty bishop square. Erika and Belle, you two take kingside castle. Hermione, you'll be the queenside castle. As for me, I'll be a knight." Ron instructed.
We all nodded and went to our place.
"What happens now?" Hermione asked.
"Well, white moves first and then....we play." Ron replied.
The first piece moved.
I have a feeling that this isn't going to end well.
"Ron, you don't suppose this is going to be like 'real' wizards chess, do you?" Hermione asked.
Ron pointed to a chess piece.
"You there, D5!" he said.
The chess piece moved and the white chess piece that went before us smashed our piece.
I was shocked! Like really shocked!!!
"I think...that answers your question...*gulps*, Hermione." Erika said.
"You got to be kidding me." I said.
Hermione looked scared.
The game kept on going.
"Wait a minute." Harry said.
"You'll understand why, Harry. Once I make my move, the queen will take me. Then you're free to check the king." Ron said.
"What? Ron, no!" Harry exclaimed.
"What is it?" Us girls asked.
"He's going to sacrifice himself." Harry replied.
"No, you can't! There must be another way." Hermione said.
"Do you want to get that stone or not. Harry, It's you that has to go on. Not me, not Hermione, not Erika, not Belle, you." Ron said.
Harry looked at him and nodded.
Ron nod back.
"Knight to H3
Ron's piece moved. The White Piece began to move.
It hit Ron's piece.
It made Ron fell to the ground.
I closed my eyes as I looked away.
"Ron!" Harry shouted.
I looked at that scene and saw Ron was unconscious.
Hermione was about to move.
"No, don't move! Don't forget, we're still playing." Harry said.
Hermione went back to her place.
Harry walked forward to check the king.
"Checkmate." he said.
The chess piece dropped its sword.
We won!
We ran to Ron along with Hermione.
"Take care of Ron and go to the owlry. Send a message to Dumbledore. Ron's right, I have to go on." Harry said.
"You'll be okay, Harry, you're a great wizard. You really are." Hermione said.
"Not good as you." Harry said.
"Me. Books and cleverness. There are more important things. Friendship, bravery. But Harry, just be careful." Hermione said.
Harry nodded and got up. He was about to leave, until...
"Harry!"
Erika walked up to him and gave her necklace.
"For luck." she said.
Harry nodded and smiled.
"Thanks."
Erika smiled a bit. But she felt worried about him.
"Be careful, okay." she said.
Harry nodded and glanced at me.
"Stay strong okay, Harry. We have faith in you." I said.
Harry nodded again and left.
We turned to Ron, who was on Hermione's lap.
"Come on, we need to go." Erika said.
