Alicia's POV

I stood there, awaiting for an explanation from the zombie man, watching as Dan dropped the staff and helped up his colleague. What annoyed me was the fact that Kyle didn't want me near him after I kicked his ass, even though he deserved it. 'Alicia, chill. You can kick his ass again after he explains himself,' my conscience managed to convince me to not do anything. I also couldn't resist telling the truth behind my fighting skills, but I fought the urge, promising myself that I would reveal my secret to everyone later.

"How about we head upstairs to talk about this?" Kyle held his stomach, flinching in pain. Dan and I nodded in unison, following the coroner upstairs through a hidden doorway. 'Oh c'mon! If Dan or I saw that we could've just left the room!' I let out a quiet groan of frustration, clenching the wooden staff in my hand. I guess there were a reason why it was a hidden door, otherwise there wasn't any point in hiding it. 'Try not to be salty...you can show everyone later,' I braced myself for the crowd upstairs.

"HAPPY BIR- WHAT HAPPENED?????" Morgan went into shock.

"Kyle happened," Dan groaned as he grabbed a party hat and slumped into a chair.

"I'm going to guess that the thing didn't go well?" my fellow protégé asked our mentor, who was in so much agony that he could only do a small nod.

"Let's just say I bitched out on him," I smirked, meeting my eyes with Dan's.

"Erm...okay...why don't we just get started-"

"Not so fast, Morgan." I gave the nervous teen a sharp and stern look, instantly freezing him in his spot. "You better have a good fucking reason why you did this to me and Dan," I crossed my arms.

     "Yeah, umm, okay," he stammered.

     Morgan's POV

"Morgan!" I looked behind me while placing the measuring cups on a shelf.

     "Hi, Kyle!" I greeted.

"Can you help me with Alicia and Dan's birthday?" he put his hands into a pleading position. 'Oh goodness...he's planned something crazy, I know it.'

"You're going to terrorize them aren't you?" I gave an unimpressed look.

"Yeah, I am..." he sheepishly laughed as his hand rubbed the back of his neck. "So you want in on the plan or not?" Kyle's laugh stopped and his mouth curved into a smirk.

"Yeah, sure," I replied cunningly. "What's the plan?" I finished cleaning up so I could hear the full idea.

"Okay, I've already got Kimberly and Detective Orton to help, so all I need you to do is help me do the rest," he briefly explained.

"What do I need to do?" I sat down in his office, bringing myself face to face with my mentor.

"We're going to drop off Alicia at the homicide department, and then we'll wait beside Starbucks. Kim's gonna lock them in, and knowing Dan and Alicia, they'll try to escape through his office window. In the meantime, I'll make sure Detective Orton tags along, and when Hannah gives us the signal, we'll kidnap the two of them before they even realize it."

"Okay, and then what?" I asked.

"Then, we'll bring them into the morgue basement and handcuff them to a pole. And I'll make sure they've been chloroformed first obviously. So while they're knocked out, I'll get my friend to set up a mini escape room, and I'll get Kim to do some makeup so it looks like I'm a zombie. Isn't it the greatest?!" Kyle cackled with an evil grin.
