Woody's POV

"NO! WOODY!" Dan cried out. If only my body could sit up on the floor, but I couldn't...I couldn't even do a simple action to let my friend know I wasn't dead.

"Call the ambulance NOW!" Detective Orton ordered as he pushed his way to the front, bending down to find my pulse. The Nightmare had taken her toll on us, and now, nothing would ever be the same again, ever.

"Woody!!!" Orton shook me violently. "If you're alive, give me a sign!" he frantically begged.

"T-the...N-n-nigh..." I raised my limp arm pointing to the assailant, before it fell to the cold floor. All I could see was black. Nothing but darkness. However I still heard the sound of multiple foot steps in the bathroom.

"No! I can't find a pulse!" Detective Orton panicked.

"I-I didn't do it!" Will pleaded for his innocence. I fought against the barrier of unconsciousness, managing to internally stay awake, wishing I could wake up and clarify the identity of the real killer.

"Detective Will Farquarson..." Dan choked out. "Y-you're under arrest...for the m-murder of Chris Wood," the sound of the lock clicked, ringing inside the restroom. I knew he didn't want to, didn't mean to, but...Dan did it- he arrested his own friend and partner for something he never did. My long time mate didn't bother fighting for his innocence, Will was escorted from the bathroom, and I could feel loads of eyes staring at my lifeless body, including The Nightmare.

"Will!" I stumbled out of my sleep, beads of sweat rolled down my face as I came to reality.

"Sir?" a concerned nurse stood by the bed. "Are you alright?"

"Yeah," I took deep breaths. "I am."

"Okay...if you need anything, press the button," she softly said, then exiting the room.

The kind nurse quietly closed the door, clouding out the sounds of babies crying in other wards, and chaotic movement of the panicked doctors and medical staff who were frantically rushing around the building. At times I felt slightly lonely about being in this room by myself, but knowing that my colleagues were doing important jobs, I didn't really mind. I only remembered Kyle telling me sometime about Dan, Alicia, and some recruit going to Canada to chase down The Nightmare. 'But he told you it was her,' my brain realized. Why Hannah? Why not some psycho dude instead of a petite, gentle looking woman?

I grabbed my phone from the nightstand, swiftly typing the password to access the home screen. 'So...what have I missed while I was asleep?' I clicked on the BBC news website, hoping that nothing major had happened during the time span of my coma. However, what popped up as the top headline shook me...way more than I expected. In bold words was the phrase "British Fugitive Flees to Idaho After Killing Person in Seattle." 'What the fuck?' I cocked an eyebrow, clicking on the news headline, seeing my phone load the page. 'Oh jeez...' I worriedly thought as I saw the word "Vancouver". 'Isn't that in Canada?'

British Fugitive Flees to Idaho After Killing Person in Seattle.

Police forces from Seattle and Vancouver are asking for the public's help to help locate a British woman who has been suspected of murdering seventeen London citizens, eight British Columbians and one Seattle citizen.

She is known by the alias "The Nightmare", but her real name is Hannah Ross. She is described as white, 5' 0", golden blonde hair, hazel eyes, and has a pale complexion. The last clothes she was seen in were a gray hoodie, black leggings, and white Adidas sneakers. However, she may not be wearing these anymore.
