Part 24: Team Excalibur

[Name]'s POV

I unlock the hotel door and push it open to find Gingka, Masamune, and Yu surrounding Madoka and her computer. 'They're still up? It's way past two in the morning' I frown slightly.

"We need to ask [Name] about the pairings if Tsubasa doesn't show up," Madoka tells the three guys near her.

"That won't be a problem," I announce, and they turn to look at me.

"You found Tsubasa!" Gingka grins and Yu runs over and tackles the silver-haired male in a hug.

"I did, now do we have any clue about Excalibur's pairings?" I ask, and Madoka hands me her computer. "So, Klaus is the advanced guard, Sophie and Wales are second in command, and Julian is obviously commander," I hum before looking up at my teammates.

"What's the plan, [Name]?" Masamune asks with a grin.

"Masamune will battle first against Klaus, Tsubasa and Yu will battle Sophie and Wales since they work well together, which leaves Gingka fighting Julian," I state, waiting for any objections. "You guys are all okay with that?" I ask in surprise. 

"I would have liked to battle Julian, but Klaus is a strong opponent, so I'm fine with it," Masamune tells me with a large smile.

"Then that's the order. Madoka get that over to the WBBA right away," I tell her and she starts typing away. "Later on today is the A-block finals, so get some rest tonight. You need your full energy for tomorrow," I tell them before standing up and leaving the room, going across the hall to the the one I'm staying in.

I unlock the door and walk inside, stripping off my clothes and jumping into bed immediately. 'I just hope everything goes all right' I sigh before turning off the lamp beside me and going to sleep.

"Are you all ready for your battles today?" I ask as I walk into the lobby of the hotel where the rest of my team is waiting.

"Hell yeah! We're going to win; I can feel it already," Masamune punches the air, hyping himself up.

I glance down at Tsubasa who still looks unsure. "You got this, Tsubasa, just remember what Ryuga told you," I whisper in his ear.

"All right," he murmurs, nodding his head slightly.

"Well, we need to head off to the arena, so let's get going you guys," I tell them as we walk out of the hotel, onto the streets of Rome.

The arena comes into view, but someone stands in between us and it with a smirk. "Ryuga!" Gingka growls as the white-haired male chuckles.

"Well, well- long time no see, Gingka." He grins maliciously, crossing his arms and widening his stance slightly.

"You! What are you doing here?" Madoka asks him, and I cross my arms over my chest.

"Yeah, what are you doing here, Ryuga? I thought you would have went off training again after last night." I raise an eyebrow and my teammates, other than Tsubasa, gasp and look at me.

"You saw him last night?" Masamune asks me in confusion.

"To shorten the story, we found Tsubasa, and Ryuga gave him some tips," I explain nonchalantly.

"Anyway, I came to repay my debt to Gingka; [Name], we'll battle next time," Ryuga states and shows us his Meteo L-Drago.
