I decided to hold back for a while, so that my parents would not expect me to sneak away to see Phil. I was anxious to see him again. It was about a week or so before I took my chance to sneak away. My parents had already started planning the wedding, annoyingly enough. As a repercussion to that, Princess Evelina had come by multiple times during the week. I was completely ready to get away from this place.

When I finally found the time to sneak away, I was nearly exhausted from having to pretend so much. Having to pretend that I loved that girl who I had met just a week ago, having to pretend that I wasn't dreading this marriage, having to pretend that I wasn't in love with a man by the name of Phillip Lester.

I sneaked out of a smaller, hidden side gate I knew was not nearly as guarded after getting my horse. That meant I would have to be back before one of the stable hands noticed the horse was gone and reported to my parents, but I surely wasn't going to walk all the way to Ocares on foot. I would never be back by morning at that rate.

Soon enough, I arrived at Ocares. I awaited for the guards to allow me in and once they did, I saw Phil standing at the castle entrance. I quickly got off of my horse, rushing over and hugging him. "Hey, you okay? You look worried.. and I haven't heard anything from you for a week," he said, hugging back. "I can't stay long.. I just had to see you.." I whispered. "What's going on?" He asked, pulling away a bit to look at me.

"I came out to my parents.." I admitted to him. "And? What did they say?" He questioned sympathetically. "I'm not allowed to see you," he sighed as he heard me, looking down.

"We could... We can do something... We can run away. We can-"

"I don't know, Dan.. Could we really? No matter where we go or what we do, there will always be something or someone against us," Phil looked back up at me, looking truly defeated as I stared into his eyes. "Yes, we could go far, far away from them and live on our own. We can deal with everything that comes at us... I don't care what we have to do. I just want to be with you."

"Okay.. How are we going to do it?" He asked softly. I smiled weakly at him, glad to hear that he was willing to chance this. "We'll meet at Theoron a week from now at dawn," he nodded in response. "It's a plan," he agreed. I smiled, leaning forward and kissing him quickly, gently. He smiled as I pulled away.

"I've got to go before someone notices I'm gone," I said, going back over to my horse, "but I'll see you at Theoron." I got back on my horse, looking at him. "See you soon," he said as I looked at him. I smiled, "See you soon."
