Chapter 2

Old beginnings-

CT-6782 or as his men often called him "Arch" had led many of his men since the beginning of the war during the battle of Geonosis and after. Arch prepared a plan CT-4763 or Zeus would likely have his rotary cannon close, so he would take point, clearing the squad's path, while also suppressing the droid attack force. CT-7734 or as he was called "Deck" would be allowed to move on his own. Arch trusted Deck to make wise decisions and use his recon training to find anymore droids and report their positions immediately to Artillery command. CT-7488 or "pinball" would take the rear, and would stand by to assist any wounded soldiers found, silently Arch hoped Pinball wouldn't be too aggressive today as he had been many times in the past. The thing about Pinball was that as a medic he saw what happened to his brothers and often would seek revenge with a burning passion, often putting himself and Arch's squad into danger. Finally Arch decided to have CT-7994 or "Dozer" take position between Arch and Pinball, keeping the squad protected from enemy armoured support with his rocket launcher and repeater. As Arch arrived at the rendezvous point the squad was already in their positions, knowing their strengths and weaknesses without their Sargent's support. Wordlessly Arch got behind Zeus and the squad rolled out through the rain and the mud, that covered the planet they fought for. The rain on the world wasn't near as bad as Kamino's but was still quite severe, making long range battles near impossible and made air support an idea of the past. The mud made movement a chore and made each battle a nuisance. The moment they entered outside of their barracks they could hear the battle, they could see the blue and red glow of laser fire and the constant explosion of light artillery on both sides launched massive shells, exploding on target with a shocking boom. Arch's squad rushed forward behind Zeus firing wildly, unable to accurately find the source of the laser fire. Arch looked back and noticed that Deck had already slipped away, before Arch even thought to send him off. Arch loved his brothers, they were smart and self efficient giving him a break from having to actually command them. As the squad rushed for the nearby forest to take cover, Arch's comm buzzed in as a all call from command came over the shortwave

This is command to all troops, the Seps are trying a final push on the base,all troops push them back. Forward units await personal orders.

Arch held his squad behind cover and waited for the comm to buzz again, in the meantime laser bolts whizzed past their helmets burning through the surrounding environment. The clones responded in kind, with heavy weapons and thermal detonators. The comm buzzed again

Charlie team, an arc trooper squad was attempting to flank the enemy force and cripple their artillery support but they have come under heavy fire and are pinned down about two klicks north of your position. Get to them and assist however you can, i've sent you a direct line to the artillery support unit, call them if you can get a bead on the CIS positions.

"Charlie team acknowledges, heading out sir" Arch responded and ordered his troops to push forward. They rushed the droids, Zeus taking multiple glancing shots for his squadmates, luckily his armour managed to deflect the shots without injury. The droids were quickly cut down and Charlie pushed forward through the mud as the rain slammed into their armour. Arch panted as he ran as fast as he could between cover, firing haphazardly into invisible enemies, but was encouraged upon seeing the glow of blue bolts in the distance and the whine of laser rifles firing in quick succession. Charlie team flanked the enemy force and mowed down the battle droids quickly, when the heavy clang of approaching reinforcements thundered over the rainfall and laser fire.
