Chapter 5: Forgotten Feelings

Mara's POV:

Several days have gone by since the Wildcat's victory.. and that's basically the only time me and Zachary got to talk heart to heart. Well not really heart to heart, but you know what I mean😆. Ever since then, I feel like he's avoiding me. Avoiding to talk nor to lock eyes. Is he mad? Did I say anything wrong?

Mikaela: Hey, can you come with me to Zac's 3rd period, I have to give him his test paper, I think he forgot.

Before I could even say yes, Kaela stopped my reply..

Kaela: Guys, is that Zac with another girl?

Me: Where? (Feeling jealous deep inside)

Mikaela: Oh, right that is him! Is that girl Shiba?!

My heart felt like it fell off a cliff!😐 Shiba!? She was our grade mate during elementary. She is until now, the crush of all ages. I mean literally, I don't know how many boys and men tried to pursue this lady! But I can't blame them.. she's smart, athletic, and her everything about her looks like a model from the cover of a magazine! Not only that, she's also known as one of the best volleyball/basketball players in the girls division at our old school. And to top that off, she also joins pageons, and guess what, she's known for that too!😐

She's perfect! That's why it wouldn't be a shocker for me if someone like Zac would like her. Their both perfect!!😣 But then again, it still struck my heart like lightning. Seeing them together made me want to give up my feelings for him. I don't know if I should, but it would be easier to do so now that I see them together.

Mikaela: Um.. ok. I guess I'll just give this to Ms. Vanessa. I'll tell her to give it to Zac when her class starts.

Kaela: (looking at her sister like its the most obvious thing to do) Yup, I think you should.

Me: (stares at them from the window) They look good together.😐

My day ended trying to avoid him. Every time he's near, I just go the other direction. It just made my day feel worse than it already is from school works.

Zac's POV:

Until now I still can't get off my mind from what Mara told me during our game against the Bulldogs. I mean really? Nafriend zoned ata ako ha. Oh wait, she doesn't even know that I have growing feelings toward her. But still, I thought we had something special!😔

As much as I hate to do it, I went a little distant from her. I mean we weren't that close in the first place, but I never really "snobbed" her. I feel like she knows somethings up. She's been trying to start a conversation with me, but I just gave her simple, but short answers. Ayoko muna syang kausapin nang kami lang, coz honestly, even if I know she just treats me as a friend, I can't stop my heart that's still beating for her. ❤

As lunch started I ate as fast as I could, I had a special training session with Kuya Roger and Coach Albert. I ran to the gym as fast as I could. "Are you ready?",said Coach Albert, "I know you guys are one if the best in the team, that's why I'm willing to make you even better!"

Kuya: Nga pala Zac, I want you to meet someone, her names Shiba.😁

I saw a beautiful girl enter the gym. She had her yoga pants on with a jersey shirt of the volleyball team, I guess she's a volleyball player then😊
