I gave in. I told him everything. I told him about the dreams. Where they came from, and who provoked them. My darkest of secrets were out, being spilled into the air for Phil to collect.

At my old school there was this boy. He never was rude and he treated everyone so, so nicely. For the longest time he was my only friend. We would go to the park together, mess around like the average 12 to 13 year old would. One day when he came over whilst my parents were out. He told me about a new game he'd learned at school. His friends had told him the basic rules to the game. - Hold your breath as long as possible while being fully submerged under the water of the bath - When I got in the water it was searing hot. But he insisted I continue. So I did. I ducked underwater for about a minute or so before I came up for air. When I pulled out of the water he begun yelling at me telling me I "broke the rules." I he took my head and shoved it back under the water. I soon blacked out. He left and I was laying unconscious in the bath for my mother to find when she came back.

I left out details that I still wasn't comfortable even comprehending. I like to think i'll get there one day. I looked to Phil. His eyes were filled to brim with tears. They overflowed when he pulled me into a hug. "I don't want to here the rest. I think I understand," Phil sobbed, "I'm so sorry. You never deserved any of that."

I lay with Phil in bed, doing my best to comfort him. "It's okay. It's in the past I can't change it." I mumbled out a few sorrowful words.

Phil reached for my hand, slowly standing up from the bed. "Come here please." I followed him to the window, so we could climb out into the cold autumn night. "Look up," he told me softly. The stars were beautiful. They reflected in Phil's eyes perfectly. I don't think I could've asked for a better view.
