Chapter 28: You Know I Still Love You Right, Zach?

Sophia Taylor:

I can't tell Zach about this.

He can't know.

He will totally hate me.

Well he hates me now.

I told Harvey not to tell Zach. And also, the guys and Rebecca knows already.

I wasn't happy that I got pregnant. What will happen if my baby comes out and asks why is his or her dad not here?

"Sophia." Rebecca came in.

"Hey."

"How are things with you and Rick?" She nods. "It's going okay."

I sigh,"You're lucky that Rick is not leaving you."

"I know." She whispers.

"Will you tell Zach about the baby?"

I shook my head quickly, "He doesn't need to know. He doesn't care."

She sighs, "I know you'll hate me when I say this, but I've talked to Zach already. He told me the truth. It wasn't his fault. It was the bitch's fault. Daisy."

"Why would you believe that fucker anyways?" I said.

"I know you have trust issues, Sophia. And he hasn't been able to speak well because, of course." She shrugs.

"You need to forgive him. I know it's the first time I've said that." She then adds that.

"And if I forgive him, he will hurt my heart again." I shut my eyes to prevent from tearing up again.

"He said he won't. I promise."

"No! I don't want! And he will also know about the baby!" I cried.

"Oh shit. Yeah, I forgot." I sigh and lay my head back to the pillow.

"How can you forget about the baby?" I shake my head and sigh.

I silently sobbed.

Then I put my hand to my stomach.

"I can take care of the baby myself."

I saw Sophia talking to Rebecca. And I know what Rebecca is saying to her.

Then I saw Sophia laying her head down sobbed.

Then clutching her stomach softly.

Since the windows were a bit open, I suddenly got shocked on what I heard.

"I can take care of the baby myself."

Is she pregnant?

I've been thinking about it all day. When I wake up, I think of what she said. When I eat, I think of it. When I go to school and saw her locker, I think of it. And when I sleep, I think of it.

Luckily at school, I didn't see that Daisy bitch.

Sophia hasn't been in school for almost a month. I miss her so much.

So I went to my messages and sent:

Can we talk? I miss you already. Please?

Please reply, Sophia. Please reply.

I saw her got her phone and saw the message. She glanced at her window and glance back at her phone.

Couple of seconds, she replied:

S: Why?

Z: I just want to say I'm so so sorry. I love you Sophia and I still do. I'm not asking for forgiveness because I know that you won't forgive me.

She read the text but didn't reply. Instead, she called me.

S: Hey, Zach.

Z: Hey, why did you call me?

S: Because I wanna tell you something.

Z: What is it?

S: Zach, I'm ...

Z: You're what? Taken already? So you moved on that quick?

S: No! I'm not taken. I'm just ... not ready to be with you again.

Z: Please, Sophia. I promise I'll do my best. I promise, Sophia. I swear I'll do my best to be the guy who always takes care of you, who always brag that you're mine, just forgive me, please.

A moment of silence came, then she said :

S: Fine, where will we talk?

I told her to meet us at the park in a few minutes and I suddenly met her gaze.

I walk towards her and gave her a smile. "Hey."

"Hey." Her breath hitches when she saw me.

"Listen, Zach. I don't have much time. I forgive you." I nodded and smile.

"But, I'm not ready yet for another relationship. I have problems, okay? You, breaking up with me, and ... something else." She hesitated when she said the last part.

What's that 'something else?'

I frown but nodded again.

"You know I still love you right, Zach?" She said, hurt in her voice.

"I still love you too, Sophia. But I can wait. I promise I'll do better than before." I whispered then sighed.

She nods.

"Well, there's something I need to tell you." She said scratching her neck.

"What is it?" I raised my eyebrow.

"I ... I - I uh." She tries to say but then gave up and sighed.

"Just call Rebecca or Harvey. You will know. But don't call them now. Call them when I'll tell you to call them. I can't say it myself." What is she trying to say?

I scrunch my eyebrows in confusion but nodded.

"Okay." I said.

"Bye Zach." She smiles and I said, "Bye, Sophia." And smile too.
