Episode: Season 4 - Lazarus Rising Pt. 2

"Surprise..." he breathed out reluctantly, green eyes capturing mine.

My reaction should have been to throw holy water on him, cut him to see if he bled, try to exorcise him. But no, it was just all in my head. My brown eyes widened and I held either side of my head with both hands, looking away from him.

"No, no, no, no, no. Not again," I whined, squeezing my eyes shut, "I told Bobby I should be on medication,"

"Parker-" he started but I shoved his hands away.

"NO! Don't touch me! You're not real!" I shrieked, tears brimming in my eyes.

Just seeing him but knowing it was all in my head brought back the pain all over again, making my chest tighten. Suddenly, Bobby walked into the room and his eyes landed on Dean.

"I don't..." he trailed off in disbelief.

No, no, this couldn't be happening! He wasn't real. Bobby had never seen my hallucinations before but it didn't make him real. Maybe Bobby needed meds just as much as I did. No, if he was real...he would bleed. Just like a person, just like any of us.

"Yeah, me neither," Dean shrugged, eyes meeting Bobby's, "But here I am..."

Just as soon as the words had left Dean's mouth, I snatched the knife off the table by the door.

"Parker! What are you-" Bobby began to protest when I swung the knife at Dean.

Instinctively, he caught my arm and tried to wrestle the knife away from me.

"No!" I shouted, breaking free of his grip to elbow him in the chest.

He stumbled backwards, "Parker! Parker, it's me!"

I scoffed, eyes hardening as I came after him, knife raised.

"Whoa, whoa, wait!" he protested, keeping a chair between us, "Your name is Parker Marie Martinez. You became a hunter after you met me and Sam when we were kids. Dad would take you on hunts with us when you and Sam were old enough to hold a gun. We've always hated each other but one of the last times I saw you..."

I sucked in a breath, the knife in my hand wavering at his words as his green eyes connected to mine.

"...we kissed," he breathed out and I swallowed, "Parker, it's me...it's me,"

Slowly, I shoved the chair out of the way and stepped up to him. His hair was short and blond, just like it had always been with green eyes peeking out behind grime-covered skin. But otherwise, he looked the same. With hesitant fingers, I brought my hand to his shoulder. When my hand didn't sink through and I realized what I touched was solid, I cried out. Dean gave me a small smile before I swung the knife at him again. This couldn't be real! But he caught my hand, trying to grab the knife from me again.

"Whoa, whoa! I am not a Shapeshifter!" he protested.

"Then you're a revenant!" I bit out, grimacing as he finally wrestled the weapon from my hand.

"All right, if I was either, could I do this with a silver knife?" he asked, slowly slicing the silver blade across the skin of his arm.

He groaned from the pain of it before glancing back up at me. I let out a shaky breath as he put the knife on the table.

"Dean?" I asked in a small voice.

"That's what I've been trying to tell you," he sighed, coming to stand in front of me.

Heaving sobs took over my body then as I latched onto Dean, his arms instantly encircling me. I breathed in the scent of alcohol, pie, and motor oil that I'd become to associate him with and I cried into his t-shirt, my fingers digging into the material. Holding onto him for dear life, I felt him rub circles on my back as he held me and I snuggled into his chest.

"Dean..." I choked out, scared to let go.

But finally I did pull back and he pressed his forehead to mine.

"I missed you so much..." I admitted, trying to hold back more tears but they kept falling.

And for each one, Dean wiped them away with his thumbs.

"I missed you, too," he nodded, green eyes boring into mine.

"How did you bust out?" I questioned, eyebrows furrowing as he left my embrace.

"I don't know. I just- I just woke up in a pine bo-" he started to say as he turned back around when Bobby splashed Holy Water in his face.

He was silent a moment as the water dripped off his face and he spit out some of it that got in his mouth.

"I'm not a demon either, you know," he sighed and Bobby just shrugged.

"Sorry. Can't be too careful."
