-LYNN'S P.O.V-

Her coming down those stairs left me speechless. Her dancing with me made my heart race. Her being my King... made things all the more better.
I carry her inside. Only to be stopped by dad.
"My beautiful girls. How was the dance?"
"Tiring." Jamie answers.
"I should leave you to it then?"
"Thank you, father."
    I take her downstairs.
"Unzip, please."
She jumps down, turning around. I unzip her dress and it slowly falls at her sides. I kiss the back of her neck softly.  She sighs lightly.
She turns to me, starting to unbotton my shirt.
"Jamie, I don't want to if you're tired or hurting."
"I know, Ly. It's okay."
She smiles and continues to take off my shirt. Once it's off, it only takes a minute for the rest of our clothes to disappear. She's so beautiful.
I climb into bed and she climbs on top of me.
   She sighs in relief.
"I didn't know, by the way."
"I know. Zee knew though."
"Of course she did."
"I had fun, Ly. I mean, I'm tired and drained but I had fun."
"You should have let me carry you most of the night. You didn't have to dance it all night."
"I know but I wanted to. I wanted to actually dance with you. Not make you dance for us both."
"I wouldn't have minded."
"I love you, Ly. But you're crazy."
"I didn't like that. The way my name was called tonight."
"Me either... But there isn't much we can do about it until we say I do."
"Unfortunately."
"I'm doing good, baby. I'm fighting. I'm in no pain other than my feet." She hesitates.
"Jamie."
"And.."
"Koala."
    She sighs.
"J."
"A headache."
"Please take something. For me. Please?"
"It consists of getting up."
I sit us up. "Go. I'm always going to be here when you get back."
She climbs off of me and goes to get meds. She comes back, waterbottle still at her lips. God.. even in boxers and sports bra, she could make anyone drool.
She smirks after putting the bottle down. "See something you like?"
"Everything."
"Oh?"
She climbs back on me and I lay down with her in my arms.
"You were perfect tonight, baby. Just absolutely perfect."
"You weren't so bad yourself. I kind of digged the tux."
"So when the wedding is over and we get out of our dresses, if I go in a tux, you wouldn't mind?"
"No. I would dance with my man."
"We're weird. Your king, I'm queen. I'm the man in the relationship though...."
"I know.. it is weird."
"You wear boxers and cologne. I wear panties and perfume."
"Nope. Doesn't make a lick of sense."
"Yeah but neither does Rose and Zee."
"God no. Don't even. Fucking Zee tonight. We were getting ready and she went completely crazy about her sex life. I mean.. Abby instigated it as usual. But stuff about being tied up and well, stuff we do." She pauses. "Did."
"I'm.. sorry.. Jamie you know.. I would if I.."
"It's okay, Ly. I know. I understand. Not going to lie, though. I miss it."
I feel an instant rise of heat to my cheeks.
"I was scared tonight, Ly. That I wouldn't look good enough for you."
"Oh, Jamie. No. Never. What have I asked you?"
"To never doubt your love for me. To never call myself ugly. To never feel like I'm not good enough."
"And even if you're not in my presence, I would like it if you keep those promises."
"Okay. Okay."
"Rose was pretty crazy tonight too. And Sam. Oh god. She fucking scared Rose after she came out of the bathroom."
   She laughs lightly. "How?"
"The ninja bitch. She came behind Rose and asked her if she was okay. She screamed. I didn't know Rose screamed so girly like."
"You have no idea. Why wouldn't Rose be okay?"
"She was shaking. Like really shaking."
"She does that when she gets scared. Really scared."
"Must have been nervs then. I was doing pretty bad too. At first I got the tie wrong. And Sam had to help. And then I had to have Mike help. It was crazy."
"So Mike was here before Zack came over to Zee's?"
"Yeah. He's a really nice guy."
"Yeah, like a big ... little.. brother."
I laugh as she corrects herself.
"Everyone seemed so happy tonight."
"I was more than happy. I had senior prom with the love of my life when I was sure two years ago I wouldn't have gone at all."
"Has it really.. been that long?"
"Not quite."
She holds on to our locked heart. "I'm ready for forever."
"So am I, baby. So am I."
"It doesn't really matter that we marry. A piece of paper and vows can go a long way, yeah. But I like to think that maybe even without the wedding, we still would have forever."
"Hey. We would, yeah. But I'm going to call you my wife. And that's not up for discussion unless you decide to finally leave my dumbass."
"I can't wait to call you my wife either, Ly."
I laugh to her. She laughs at me.
"How about tomorrow, we wake. We go out to eat with dad and just spend the rest of the day watching a Harry Potter marathon?"
"Oh god it sounds like heaven."
Her breathing evens. Heart slows. And she begins her walk into slumber.
"Jamie.." I coo.
"Mm."
"Jamie." I whisper lighter.
She's barely hanging on, but one more.. And she will fall.
"Koala.."
"I love you, Ly."
"I love you too, baby."
It's been a little over a year and I still can't get to sleep unless I hear those words first. I just can't. And though I have had my fuck ups, she has forgiven.
She is my angel from the gods. She is my life source. She is my soul and my heart.
I slip into a sleep. A dream. A beautiful, beautiful dream.
