I Didn't Think You'd Come

Riley sighed as she made her way sneakily past the football field, Roman would have a fit if she wasn't home soon. He had practice right now and she couldn't risk him seeing her

She made her way to the baseball pitch, seeing Dean sitting on the barricad, his feet swinging, looking at his watch and then looking over the fence at the sunny sky

Riley folded her arms as she moved to stand in front of Dean

"You asked to see me?" she asked, keeping her face stoic

Dean jumped slightly at the sudden voice before he turned to Riley and smiled widely

"I didn't think you'd come," Dean admitted

"I didn't think I would either," Riley replied, keeping impartial

Dean rubbed the back of his neck

"I know what you saw Riley. And it's true, I absolutely have no excuse so I'm not gonna waste your time trying to make one up." Dean said

"I didn't lie to you, when I came over to see you, it was the  truth, I have a crush on you. But when you kissed me, I got so scared, I've never done relationships, I know what you've heard about me too and as much as I wanted it to not be true, I tried so hard to deny that I'm a bad person. But I am. I'm a horrible person, I'm just a sick guy, that's who I am, and it's my own fault, I just, I just never met someone like you Riley, and I fucked it up, just like I fuck everything else up. Look, I didn't call you here to feel pity for me, I just wanted to apologize, because I know I made a huge mistake and I'm really sorry, I understand if you don't want anything to do with me again," Dean said, looking at the floor, the silence unnerved him

Riley remained unmoved for 3 minutes, before she cracked and sighed, dropping her hands

"Look Dean," she began

"I honestly don't hate you, I mean it's not like we were together or anything," She said, on purpose to guage his reaction even though the words made her sick

Ouch. Dean's heart lurched at her words, and he cringed unwillingly

"But I don't hate you, I don't think I ever did. But I can't trust you," Riley said truthfully

"You know how big trust is in my family, in my life," Riley explained

"But, just because I can't trust you now, doesn't mean I never will, you'll just have to work for it," Riley said with a smirk as Dean perked up

"So you forgive me?" he asked, Riley smiled slightly and nodded

"Yeah, I forgive you," She replied with a nod of confirmation

"I gotta go," Riley said hearing the coach blow the whistle twice meaning football practice was over, for good measure, she kissed Dean's cheek and winked as she turned and took up a jog to leave the school premises

Riley was halfway home when she stopped and cursed under her breath, she left her keys at home, she'd have to go back to the school and steal Roman's keys and then race home to not make Roman suspicious

She ran back to school, literally ran, she ran through the hallways and stopped to a halt when she came to the locker rooms, seeing Randy Orton going through his locker, his eyes caught her and he widely smiled, she instantly shushed him and whispered

"Ro doesn't know I'm here," Randy nodded and saluted, packing his duffle

Riley heard the shower running as Randy left, she took up the keys and pretty much had a heart attack when the shower turned off, she tiptoed quickly to the entrance to leave

"Going somewhere sis?" Roman asked, in boxers, wiping his hair with a smug smile

"Roman!" she called trying to play cool

"What're you doing here Riley?" Roman asked with a knowing smile

"Can't a sister come to visit her big brother without having an interrogation?" she asked with a too big smile

"Oh, so you didn't come here to steal my keys because you left yours on the counter this morning and you just realized you left them when you were on your way home and you stayed here with Dean and now you're trying to make me think you were at home all this time?" Roman said, crossing his muscled arms across his broad chest and smirking at Riley

WAS THIS BITCH A MIND READER?!

"No?" Riley replied, sounding like it was a question

"Right," Roman said, making a face and nodding, tossing her keys to her

"I saw them this morning," he replied

"We'll walk home together, give me 10 minutes," Roman said, going to his locker and pulling out his tracks and his shirt

Riley sat down and looked down at her hands, feeling bad she tried to lie to him.

"Cheer up squirt," Roman said ruffling her hair

"I ain't mad, let's go," he elaborated, picking up his duffle and walking out, Riley following with a small smile on her face
