Never Leaving You Alone Again

-1 Month Later-

Riley sighed as she stared at the blue wall in front of her. Ever since Roman left, she'd been staying in his room, hugging his hoodie everytime she felt like she needed him

It should be illegal to miss someone the way Riley missed Roman. He had called home a million times but had always refused to talk to Riley, saying that if he did she'd be the only person who could make him come home.

Riley felt so alone in the world right now, she felt like there wasn't anyone she could trust, except Dean of course. But her mom and dad had ended up taking a divorce because dad had found out that all the 'clubs' his wife had been to, was to see a man named Joshua. Who she used to cheat on dad.

So now that she was gone, Roman was gone, and her dad was always on business. That small house that she knew growing up, now felt so big since she was by herself. Sure, Dean would be over, but he also couldn't stay forever. He would need to go back home at some point.

It was 3 heavy knocks at the door that pulled Riley out of her trance and got her to her feet and down the stairs

She opened the door and her eyes widened

"Hi." said Roman as he held his suitcases in his hands

"R-R-Roman?" She asked in disbelief, finding herself stuttering at the shock she felt

"Hey tuafafine," he said smiling broadly and putting the suitcases down

"What're you doing here? Why are you here?" Riley asked, not moving, just staring at him

"I'm back. I realized how much I missed my baby sister. I realized how much going to college so early was a huge mistake. I missed my family too much. The classes were dumb and the guys on the team are really good. So I came home because I'm not good enough." Roman said, heaving a breath and looking at Riley who moved from the door to let him in

"Where's mom? At one of her club meetings again?" Roman asked, looking up at the house he knew and loved growing up in

Riley cringed at the question

"Oh Ro, they didn't tell you did they?" Riley said, with her hand on Roman's bicep

"Tell me what?" Roman asked, confused

"Ro, mom and dad got a divorce 2 weeks ago." Riley hesitated

There was a brief intermission of silence before Roman said something

"What?" He asked looking broken

"She was having an affair and dad found out and they had a mutual divorce." Riley replied, explaining the circumstances

"Oh my god." Roman said, the news finally sinking in but it damn sure wasn't the divorce he was so heartbroken over

"I'm an idiot. If they're divorced that means you're all alone here, my god. I'll never leave you alone again Riles," Roman promised, hugging Riley against his chest

"Good, cuz I don't want you leaving me alone again. Now lemme help you unpack," Riley said as they both stood up and each grabbed a suitcase, hauling them up the stairs and to Roman's room
