I happily skip inside, after spending the whole day round at Simon's with the rest of the guys. When I open the door, both my parents are in the exact same place- sitting on the couch, staring up at me. They're never even in this house most of the time, and now they've been sitting down all day.
"Y/N love, come and sit down," my mum smiles, motioning to the space next to her. "We've already ordered takeaway and got some of your old favourite movies to watch together."
"Ok," I nod, though it comes off more questioningly than I wanted. Maybe they're really just trying to connect with me for once.
"Right, we've got some big news," my dad starts, glancing between us both. "Me and your mother have figured it's a good decision and I'm sure you'll agree."
"What dad?" I exclaim, trying to hurry him along.
"Well, work has offered us both an new, exciting promotion... In Australia!"
"What?! To leave when?"
"In three days."
