Leo was just a friend. You had a small crush, but nothing major. It seemed that he also thought of you as just a friend. Until everything changed. 

You had been training in the arena. Tears were falling from your eyes. Your grandpa had died in a car accident. Clarisse came up and started taunting you. Blinded by rage, you attacked her. Clarisse slammed her shoulder into your chest. The wind was knocked out of you and it didn't feel that great. She and some of her siblings started kicking you. Leo ran into the arena and shoved Clarisse. He stood over you, setting himself on fire. 

They all quickly left. He extinguished himself then picked you up and took you to the infirmary. Your ribs were bruised and ankle sprained, but nothing too serious. Leo was the first person to visit you the moment he was allowed to. He didn't leave your side until Will actually had to drag him out. 

Over the next few days, you guys grew closer. One day, out of the blue, Leo kissed you. You kissed back happily. 

Next on the bucket list was beating him at Mario Kart.
