Chapter 3

"Kuya!" Niyakap ko si kuya Loren nang makapasok na sila sa bahay. Guwapong guwapo ito sa suot na black button down shirt, black pants at black luxury watch. His clean cut also complimented his look.

"Ate Celine!" Yumakap rin ako kay ate Celine. She's wearing a black turtle neck mini dress, paired with a blacpk stiletto and her hair straight down at her back. Perfect for her morena skin.

"Lea, where's dad?" Kuya asked.

"At his office. Are you staying here?" Tanong ko pabalik.

"No, we're just dropping by. We're on our way to the mall. Let's go, hon." Paalam sa akin ang mag asawa.

"Wait for me, Lea, babati lang ako kay dad." Sabi ni ate Celine kaya lumawak ang ngiti ko at mabilis na tumango.

Nagtungo sila sa office ni dad at nanatili naman ako sa sala. Hindi rin siya nag tagal dahil wala pang ten minutes ay bumaba na siya.

Ngumiti ako kay ate Celine at niyaya siya sa kusina. "Ate, where's Cohen?" Tukoy ko sa anak nila.

"He ran to your garden when he heard that you're here. You know him." sagot niya. Pareho kaming natawa, Cohen is a three years old handsome boy who has a crush on me. And every time we meet, he'll give me flowers that he picked anywhere. "How have you been?"

"I'm good," I nodded. Narating namin ang kitchen area at pinaupo ko siya sa high chair. Sumenyas ako sa kasambahay na dalhan kami ng juice at agad naman itong kumilos. "How about you? Are you happy?" I asked the obvious question.

I saw how she smiled subtly. The way her eyes screams contentment really amazes me. "Of course, Lea. I've never been this happy my entire life. Well, maybe when I gave birth to Cohen, but I'm happier now that we're complete." She says.

I smiled and thanked the maid who served us drinks. "Let's have some merienda?" I offered but she politely declined. Aalis din daw kasi sila pagkababa ni kuya.

"We're gonna buy Cohen's school supplies. Nangungulit na kasi at excited nang pumasok kahit next next month pa naman."

"That's good, he's eager to learn. You gave birth to a genius!" Sabi ko. Ano pa ba ang ipagtataka ko, doktor ang ama at abogado ang ina; Walang duda na matalino ang bata.

Nag-uusap kami tungkol sa mga pinagdaanan ni ate mula noong naghiwalay sila ni kuya habang buntis siya. Hindi iyon alam ni kuya at nakilala niya lang ang bata after three years, and that's last year. I just really like hearing that story 'cause it amazes me. Although, I'm not romanticizing her resiliency, I just find fate really amusing for linking them back together.
