Ali's pov

"Did you have a good time in Paris?" I ask my overly energetic daughter

"Yes. I loved it" Lily shouts, jumping up and down in her seat

"It was awesome Mommy" Grace squeals with excitement

"I had a great time with my two perfect Princesses" I smile, pushing them back into their seats

"And Mommy?" Lily smiles, pointing across the aisle of the plane at Emily

"Yes I have a great time with my two Princesses and my Queen, and the Queen's mom" I smile

"Queen? I thought you were the Queen and Mom was the Mermaid" Grace asks

"What?" I ask startled

"Mom we know the book is about you" Grace giggles

"You do? How?"

"Because of the way Mommy reads it" Lily chuckles

"How does she read it?"

"As if it means the whole gigantic world to her"

"Really?" I ask, through a crooked smile, trying to stop myself from blushing

"Yeah, and sometimes Mom stops when she's reading and smiles like she's just eaten a big chocolate cake" Grace tells me

"Oh...and sometimes she gets mixed up and says your name" Lily laughs

"Yeah she does" Grace adds, joining Lily in laughter

"Our Mermaid is beautiful" Lily smiles as she hugs me

"She really is" I smirk, watching my gorgeous Emily sleep

I zone out for a while watching Emily's eyes flicker and her chest bouncing up and down, her head is resting on Pam's shoulder. Seeing her hugging her mom makes her look even cuter, I imagine what she would've been like as a child, I imagine that her adorable childish laugh sounded like Lily and Grace's; only higher and more joyful. I admire Emily's subtle smile, curled up at the edge of her mouth, she must've been the happiest child ever, running up and down with her dad and baking perfectly made cakes with her mom. Lily and Grace might physically look like me but everything else about them is Emily; their joyfulness and radiant personalities, their kind nature, their sportiness, the way their noses crunch up when they let out their breathtakingly beautiful laughs. Lily and Grace have everything I love about Emily and that's why I'm so grateful to be their mom. The A team may have ruined my life many times by torturing me and my friends but Alex, she gave me a beautiful family and that strangely makes all the years of torture and fear worth every second, and if it meant I would end up with the woman of my dreams and my two gorgeous daughters I would go through everything all over again

I break out of my trance and hear a small whistling noise, just like their mother both Lily and Grace whistle through their noses when the are fast asleep. It is the faintest noise ever but it soothes me and soon I also fall asleep holding Grace and Lily in my arms.

Déjà vu is one of the strangest things ever but something even stranger is mistaking your wife for her mother. I feel a breath against my face and my eyes immediately spring open fearful that Grace and Lily are in danger, Emily is leaning over Grace's seat and is taking multiple photos of us. When my eyes first jumped open I honestly thought it's was Pam taking photos of us again but it wasn't it was her twin daughter, Emily gets more and more like Pam everyday. I love Pam so if it really is 'like mother, like daughter' then I'd be happy however, I really hope that saying doesn't apply to everyone because I love my mom but there is many of her traits I don't want to inherit.
