Ali's pov

I am woken up by the soft sound of a whispered conversation. I am wrapped in Emily's arms, the side of my head rests on her legs and my right leg is bent up across the bed where her legs had previously been when we had fallen asleep. I slowly turn my head and see two sets of small feet at the end of my bed

"Good morning gorgeous" Emily says, stroking my hair

"Morning Mommy" both Lily and Grace smile

"Morning" I reply groggy

Emily continues her conversation with Lily and Grace whilst still stroking my hair

"What time is it?"

"Five am" Emily tells me

"Why are they up?"

"Because apparently they both had the same nightmare where a black hooded figure told them..."

"Told them what?" I ask sitting up, concerned about my daughters

"...told them that they have to have candy for breakfast, or they'll die" Emily continues

"So I was telling them why they can't have candy and was just about to send them back to bed" Em smiles, jumping out our bed and holding onto Grace and Lily's hands

Emily returns to our bed and slides next to me, wrapping her ice cold arms around me

"Get away. Don't come near me until you have warmed up"

"Why? Am I cold?" She asks, tightening her grip around me

"Emily, you are freezing"

She giggles and runs her ice cold body over me. I give into the struggle and soon our bed is warm and cosy again. Emily leans her head on mine and slots her legs into mine

"I love being the big spoon. I can protect you"

"Protect me? From what?"

"The monsters under the bed" she whispers, kissing my neck repeatedly and tickling me

"Stop Emily. Stop" I giggle

Emily kisses my neck, sending a shiver down my spine. I hear her yawn and feel her warm breath against my neck. Soon we both fall back asleep, spooning each other.

Emily's pov

My leg is wrapped over Alison's and my hand rests on her chest, while the other is caressed between my head and a pillow. Ali is lying on her back and I am on my side. Her left arm is crushed by my body and her wedding ring sparkles against my hip. I look over to the clock on our wall and I am devastated that I have to move, if we didn't have to go to work I would stay like this forever.

"Ali, wake up. We need to get ready for work"

"It's only half past six Em" she says, looking at the clock

"No it's half seven"

"Look at your phone" Ali tells me
