Emily's pov

Since my birthday last year my mom and Alison have became increasingly closer. On the 3rd Thursday of every month they go out together. I honestly think my mom prefers Ali. My mom says I'm left out so that me, Grace and Lily can get individual mother, daughters bonding. However, I strongly disagree; I believe...I know that they leave me out because they want their own mother, daughter bonding. Am I jealous of Alison? Of course I am.

"You look very dolled up" I question,
looking over to my smiling wife. She has a black skater dress on, matched with black platform boots and a sparkly black purse

"I want to make an impression. Your mom is always dressed so nice"

"Where is it you are going again? Oh yeah the cinema. You'll need to make sure my mom doesn't lose you when the lights go out" I pause "you know with all your black clothes, you'll blend into the blackness of the cinema. All you'll see is your shiny, perfectly curled blonde hair" words begin to flow out my mouth like a broken faucet

"Em, you can come if you want. I mean me and Mom..."

"My mom"

"...and your mom have pre-booked our seats"

"I'm okay. I hope you and my mom have a fun mother and daughter-in-law bonding date" I snarl

"Don't worry we will" Alison storms out the house

'My mom' I repeat over in my head

"What I bitch" I whisper to myself

"Oh my fucking god. I am such a bitch" I mutter at the top of my lungs

"Mom you said bad words" Lily says, tugging on my ripped skinny jeans

"Sorry baby. I'll never say that again"

Ali's pov

"Hey Pam" I smile as she kisses my cheek to greet me

"Hello Alison. Are you okay? You look upset"

"Oh it's nothing"

Pam tilts her head and her eyes dampen with empathy

"Alison" she says, placing her hand on top of mine

"It's Emily. She seems annoyed that we are going out. She's right, you are her mom. But you are the only mom I have left" I cry

Pam pulls me into a hug and slowly strokes my back. Muttering "It's okay Alison" as my tears damper her beautiful coordinated outfit.

"Alison you are my daughter. Yes I didn't bring you up and I wasn't part of your family until a few years ago but you are my daughter"

"I knew that you would become a part of my family ever since I asked Emily if she loved you"

"What?" I enquire, unaware of what Pam is referring too

"Do you remember that strange day with I randomly invited you to dinner? It wasn't like me but I was desperate to see you and Emily together because I realised that she might have liked you as more than a friend. After you left I asked her about her feelings for you. She told me she wasn't sure but her eyes told me different" she pauses and smiles at me
