Today is Ava's eighteenth birthday. God knows where and how time flies. I remember holding baby Ava in my arms for the first time like it was just yesterday. My phone buzzed in my pocket as I was walking down the stairs and I took it out of my pocket to see a text from Valerie.

"Ugh" I mumbled.
I was just ten minutes late, she's always in a hurry. I sat in my car and started driving to Valerie's place since I had to pick her up for the party Dad is throwing for Ava.
Getting comfortable with Valerie, wasn't very easy for me, but something about her, helped me settle with her. I could finally tag the real relationship between us as 'friends' where I'm not considering my hormone frenzy when I see her and wild dreams about her that have me breath hard and cause a tent in my boxers.
When I reached her house, she was already waiting for me outside the gate of her house and I stopped the car once I reached her and opened the door for her and she sat in and I took my time to observe her head to toe in that dress.

"You are a whole twenty minutes late, apologize" She said and I rolled my eyes.
"Ten minutes" I corrected.
"You were ten minutes late for leaving your house and it took you ten more minutes to drive here so that makes twenty dumbstin" She said.
"Stop calling me that" I said and she narrowed her eyes at me.
"No" She said.
"Fine, I'm sorry your majesty" I said sarcastically.
"Good" She said.
"You look good by the way" She said while fixing my tie that had come out of the tuck.
