Part Six. Chapter 3: Say It!

Yuu had been waiting for about half an hour when he finally saw Ijuuin- sensei approaching the Japun stand, that was now pretty much empty. He walked towards his partner who seemed to have a sort of defeated demeanor really different from all the smiles he had been displaying during the festival. "Good night, Yuu- san, I'll see you in two weeks" Fujino said as Yuu passed by the author. "Good night, Fujino- sensei. Thank you for your hard work" Yuu answered without much thought, everything he wanted to know was what had happened for Ijuuin- sensei to look so down. "Sensei! Are you okay?" he called standing right in front of him "Yanase- kun" Kyo replied almost as he had been taken by surprise "You tired? Let's go home" he continued with a very sweet voice that made Yuu want to hug him, but taking into consideration that were surrounded by the people they usually worked with, there was no way he could show such affection.

They walked to the car in complete silence and as they drove away, Yuu clearly noticed something was not alright. Ijuuin was unusually quiet and driving incredibly fast "You're speeding" he said trying to make it sound as a warning, but his words were completely ignored. It was when they got awfully close to another car that Yuu decided to protest again "Sensei! I'm saying it's dangerous!! I'm in the car too, you know?!!" Right after his harsh words, Yuu instantly felt the speed drastically reducing but Kyo still wore an unreadable expression. "What's wrong?" he asked with a concerned tone, but once again, no answer was delivered. 

As silence started to fill the car again, Yuu spoke again "Can you please drop me at my place?" he asked in a low tone, trying to make Ijuuin talk at least a few words. "Why?" "I have some work to do for Chiaki" Yuu said thinking of all the work he had to do "By the way, are you hiring me for Za Kan this month?" he asked remembering that Ijuuin- sensei hadn't told him anything about this month's chapter. "Kirishima- san should be calling you soon to set up the schedule" Ijuuin answered coldly "Okay then" Yuu replied wondering what had triggered Ijuuin's bad mood today.

"Thank you, sensei. I'll see you tomorrow" Yuu said as he stepped out of the car "Wait! Yanase- kun!" Kyo said grabbing his wrist "Do you mind if I stay with you tonight?" he asked displaying what it looked like a sad smile. "Yes, if you want to. I always stay at your place anyway" he replied with a calmed tone. He saw Kyo parking the car at what was supposed to be his parking spot. "So are you hungry or do you..." Yuu was about to say as soon as they got into the house. His question, however, was suddenly interrupted by Ijuuin embracing him from behind "I'm not hungry, I just want to stay like this for a little while" he said pressing his head on Yuu's shoulder. 

Yuu set his hands on top of the ones so tightly pressed against his waist imagining what had happened that made Ijuuin act so strange. "Did you talk to Usami- sensei or something?" he asked nervously, he didn't want to intrude into sensei's business unless Ijuuin, himself asked for it, but this behaviour was really starting to worry him, and he felt that he needed to do something about it. "I didn't know you read Fujino- sensei's manga" Ijuuin commented, clearly ignoring his previous question. "I started buying just recently, I'm working for him anyway" Yuu answered without hesitation noting that sensei definitely wasn't going to talk about what had happened to him. "I see, do you like working for him?" Kyo asked letting go of his waist "Yes, he is organized and punctual...he makes work really easy" Yuu said as he tried to give a step forward.

He suddenly felt he had lost his balance and was about to fall due to Ijuuin embracing him again, this time so tightly, it almost hurt. "Sensei!" he protested trying to free himself from Ijuuin's arms. "Say that you love me" Kyo whispered into his ear "What?!" "Please! Say that you love me" Ijuuin insisted. Yuu instantly felt his cheeks turning completely red at the request, and while he didn't have a problem declaring his love when it was due, being asked to say it out loud was rather uncomfortable. "What are you saying! Let go now!" Yuu protested again trying to hide his, now completely red, face. "Yanase- kun, please! Please, just once, say it!" Kyo said with a very soft voice. "What happened at the festival, sensei?" Yuu asked trying to sound as steady as possible despite feeling like his heart was about to explode. "Please" Ijuuin repeated softly. "No, I won't say a word until you tell me what the hell is going on!" Yuu said in irritation with his face almost burning up "We're partners! We're supposed to discuss this kind of things! Don't do the same thing you did when you told me about that trip to Paris!" he continued angrily.

He felt Ijuuin's breathing getting faster at his comment "I don't want you to know just yet" sensei finally said letting go of his waist. "What's wrong?" Yuu asked in concern "I really don't want to say" Ijuuin answered looking somehow guilty. "Fine then, remain quiet...but I'm not saying anything either" he said trying remain serious but there was no denying he had just sounded extremely childish and Ijuuin's sudden smile revealed that he had definitely noticed too. 

Yuu crossed his arms evading Kyo's seductive, and very unapologetic, gaze "You're so cute" he heard sensei saying as he quietly approached him. "Be quiet!" he replied feeling his cheeks completely on fire "You're super cute, Yanase- kun" Kyo softly whispered into his hair. "I said be quiet" Yuu said without turning to look at his partner. "Well, you know how to keep me quiet. Don't you?". Yuu felt his face turning even redder now, how could Ijuuin always make his anger fade away so easily? While it was a talent Yuu didn't particularly hate that fact, he had to admit that it was really inconvenient. "Oh well, then I'm going to keep saying just how cute you are" Ijuuin teased further at Yuu's lack of response. "I said, be quiet!" Yuu spoke again grabbing sensei by the collar and quickly landing a kiss on his lips.
