Kyo woke up feeling the cold winter morning weather, of course, neither him nor Yuu hadn't felt how cold it really was last night but right now it was almost unbearable. He stood up and walked towards the heat control located on the wall. Slowly adjusting it to 25ºC, he thought of going back to bed where Yuu was still soundly asleep. However, today was special, Kyo couldn't help but to smile as memories of the past year flashed through his mind. He had never really been this happy, Yuu was everything he had ever wanted, everything he had ever needed. After what had happened with Misaki, he thought himself unable to actually fall in love again but his assistant had definitely changed that thought and he had also changed his life, for the better. The way he felt for Yuu was too complex, too rare, too beautiful to be explained with words. He silently opened one of his closet drawers, the one filled with clothes he no longer wore. He headed to the closet and carefully removed the old shirts until the bottom of a very specific drawer was visible revealing the present he had been saving for this day since he came back from Paris.

It is often said that Paris is the city of love, and as much as he had enjoyed going around the city and visiting iconic places, he knew that trip would've been better with Yuu by his side. During his fourth week in Paris, he finally decided to do something about it. Of course, he would not be able to fly Yuu to France, but why not carry a little piece of the city of love to him. With the help of Karuoko- san, he had visited one of the best jewelry stores in the city located right in the Champs- Élysées. Telling about his relationship to Usami's cousin had been awkward as hell, but she had been nothing but supportive, even helping him pick a ring. He had spent a great amount of money there but he didn't have one single regret about it. Today was the day he had been waiting for, and he couldn't help but to feel ecstatic at the thought.

He turned around to look at Yuu again as he held the expensive looking little black box in his hand. However, the band aids in Yuu's head reminded him that there was something he needed to take care of first. He quickly got dressed with warm attires and fixed his hair. 'I'll be back soon. Love you, Kyo' he wrote in a tiny note and left it in the bedside table right next to his sleeping boyfriend. He took the first jacket he could find and left the apartment feeling ready to settle this situation once and for all. He parked his car outside the luxurious building and went inside asking the receptionist which was Fujino's apartment. Kyo knew he had to calm himself down before actually speaking with the guy, in this state he would totally go for physical violence but he knew he was better than that. He got out of the elevator and rang the bell of the apartment repetitive times until he heard the door being unlocked. Ijuuin took a deep breath as he saw Fujino standing in front of him, Yuu really hadn't lied when he said Fujino had taken the worst part of the confrontation. His cheek displayed a dark purple bruise that was still unable to hide the author's natural attractive features.

"I guess I don't even have to ask why you're here, Ijuuin- sensei" Fujino spoke with a serious but defeated tone. "I could spend my whole day here telling you just what you deserve, Fujino- sensei. But I have only come to ask you, or more like warn you, to stay away from Yanase- kun" Ijuuin said looking at the guy. Fujino's already red and teary eyes, started to get watery again, but in all honesty, Kyo couldn't care less. "Don't ever come close to him again" he said steadily as Fujino gave a loud sigh. "He's still my assistant" Aki worded clenching his fist around the doorknob. "We will fix that in time...as for now, be happy that it is just me who came to tell you this. Cause it could've been a bunch of police officers ready to take you away for attempted sexual abuse". Fujino's eyes widened at Ijuuin's threat, clearly he hadn't thought about the crime he had almost committed. "Understood" Aki mumbled turning his gaze down clearly trying to hide the tear that fell down his cheek from Ijuuin's eyes. "Happy Anniversary, Ijuuin- sensei. I hope you two are really happy together" Fujino finished with his voice breaking as he was about to close the door still looking down trying to hide the fact that his eyes were now displaying just how hurt he really was. "Thank you" Ijuuin said as he watched the sad author closing the door taking refuge in his own home. Kyo walked towards the elevator and left the building finally feeling some relief since the day Fujino had dared to confess his love for Yuu.
