Marty flirts and asks Buffy on a date. That's it? Okay.

Buffy was by locker, when Marty come over. "Hey, girl. You cute. Wanna go on date?" Buffy was immediately smitten. "Holy crap. Yes. Let's go on date and stuff." The two make out by locker.
The end. (JK, here's an actual story.)

Buffy went to her locker to get her textbook for history. As she opened her locker, a note fell out. She picked it up and it read, "When we race, so does my heart."
Buffy laughed at the card. "Marty," She said to herself, "Really? That's so dumb."

Buffy sat at the lunch table alone. "Where is everyone?" Just as she said that, Cyrus came over. "There you are! Come sit with me."
"I can't. I'm meeting Jonah outside for a small outdoor picnic. But, first." He dropped a note on the table and said while walking away, "Marty told me to give this to you."
Buffy unfolded the note. "Cyrus is practically bursting with color and pride. But when I look at you, color doesn't matter at all."

Andi tapped Buffy's shoulder. "Marty wanted me to read this to you."
"'As you can tell, your friends are in on this too. Meet me by the front, and maybe you'll be pleased. But if you choose to not go, I'll run to you, even if means I'll be weak in the knees'."
With that, she walked away.
——Later That Day——
Buffy met Marty at the front of the school. "So, you sent me punny flirt notes."
Marty faked a confused look. "No. I sent you notes of witty banter."
"So, flirt notes?"
"If that's what you want to call it."
Marty held the door open for Buffy. "Wanna go out?"
Buffy giggled at the joke, and smiled. "Yes, Marty. I'll go out with you."
A joke finally came to her. "And no matter how far apart we are, I'll always come running back to you."
Marty grinned. "Hey! The jokes are my thing."
"Not anymore."
"What? You want a competition?"
"Why not?"
"Race to the tree. Ready, go?"
Marty dashed off. "Hey! Wait for me, you cheater! Haha!" Buffy began racing after Marty.
