"Hope is seeing light in spite of darkness that surrounds you"

"So, how did the two of you meet then?" I ask Ren, who was currently lining her already perfectly luscious lips carefully with a bold red, carefully gliding on the product onto her bare lips effortlessly.

"It's a long story," she replies with a shrug, careful not to ruin her masterpiece with the viscous red that marked her lips.

My fingers swiftly reach out towards the several pizza slices that were neatly laid out on the plate thanks to the hopeless love-struck male sat downstairs. I scoff down the calories with no shame, not even particularly worrying about how bloated I'll look after finishing my fourth slice of the pepperoni dream and downing that with some Diet Coke. I'd say I was ashamed of my pig like eating but wouldn't every sane human act like this if they hadn't eaten anything like this in what seemed like years? Let's just say the Colbert household aren't fold of anything classified as 'fast food'.

After I had gulped down the remains of my bubbling coke I glance at the watch which was loosely attached to my petite wrist," you talk as if we've got minutes before we leave, we have plenty time." I reply as I cross my legs and lean my head against the wall as I sigh seeing Ren stand up meaning it had finally come to my turn.

"Don't look too disheartened about the fact it's your turn," she laughs and she points to the chair instructing me to sit down. I let out a loud sigh before helplessly talking a quick look down the pizza once again, the delicious smell tempting me. I look up only to see Ren roll her eyes at my desperation as I look at the pizza once again.

"If you continue to look at it any longer your eyes might actually burn a hole through it," she says with a playful tone as she lifts the porcelain plate and waves it temptingly in front of my face.

"You devil." I hiss as I finally give in to the temptation and greedily eat my pizza as I grumpily fall onto the seat of doom preparing for my face to be beaten.

"You're too predictable," she mutters as she grins at me.

"And you're too mean," I pout as she lifts her lips into a lazy smirk.

"It's my speciality," she replies sassily as she comes towards me and lays out the handful of products which were going to be beaten onto my plain baby face. With the lift on an eyebrow and wide eyes, Ren waves me off before beginning to do her magic, "don't worry I'll be gentle on your pretty little face," she laughs which I furrow my brows to.

"Stop frowning, it doesn't suit you," she says as she places her slender fingers on my eyebrows attempting to stop my actions before applying the cake of a face I was about to get put on me.
