Chapter Twenty-Two

(play song when it says so)

Isaac, Scott, and I hurry over to Stiles's house and open the door to see Aiden and Lydia.

"How did you know? Did he call you?" Scott asked them both

"I heard it," Lydia answers

"Wha-" I was about to say but Aiden cut me off.

"Don't ask. It's morning confusing when you ask." I nod

"Not as confusing as this," Lydia says and we all turn to see what's she's looking at.

There's string going to a bunch of different pictures. Red string.

"He uses red for unsolved," I say

"Hold on, is he still out there?" Lydia asks

I nod

"You don't know where he is?" Lydia said looking at me. Oh, she doesn't know how much I wish I knew.

"He said he was in an industrial basement somewhere," Scott told her

"We came here to get a better scent."

"What else did he say?"

"Uh, theres something wrong with his leg. It's bleeding."

"And he's freezing," Isaac said

Aiden pointed out, "Tonight's the coldest nights of the year. It's gonna drop in the 20s."

"What did his dad say?" Lydia asked looking at me again

"We kind of didn't tell him yet," I answered

"Stiles is bleeding and freezing and you didn't call his dad?!"

"That's what I said," I throw my arms up in the air

"He made me promise not to. We can find him by scent."

"Yeah, well he didn't make me promise," I say pulling out my phone. Scott grabbed my wrist before I could even open it up.

"Don't. Stiles will be mad at you, and you don't want that."

"To hell if he is. He is his dad, he has a right to know."

"Bella, please. Let me try first."

I nod knowing Scott won't let this go. And neither will I.

"Okay, well he couldn't have gone far if he was sleepwalking right?" Scott says going back to what he was saying

"You didn't notice his jeep was gone did you?" Aiden asks

"I'm with, Bella, we should call his dad," Lydia says

"No wait, I can get more help, Allison, Derek..."

"Everyone but the cops, great idea."

"You guys remember she gets these feelings when someone's about to die right?" Aiden told us.

"You don't have to call his dad, the station is five minutes from here," Scott says. Isaac and him begins walking out the door.

"We'll catch up," Lydia says

"What? Why?" I ask her

"There's something here. Go, we'll be right behind you."

"Aiden, you go with them, I'll stay here with Lydia," I tell him. He nods and goes with Scott and Isaac.

"So you decided to stay with me, instead of going out to look for your own boyfriend?" Lydia says and raised her eyebrows

"I'll be more help here," I say looking at the floor
