"Milk and Sugar?"
Part Two

Jaehee

"Y/N?!"I shouted down the phone, surprised.
"Yeah that's my name."The girl said back.
"Uh...Y/N it's me, Jaehee."I waited several seconds until I heard a response.
"...Bye.."She said and as I was just about to say something she cut me off.

Y/N

I can't believe it was her!I can never talk to to her.I promised myself that.

~flashback~
"Y/N!Catch!"Jaehee said as she threw a ball at me.
I caught it and laughed. So did she.
She wasn't laughing when she caught the ball though.
I threw it and she jumped up to grab it, but we were playing up on the top of a hill, so she stumbled and rolled down to the very bottom.
I froze but snapped back to reality once I heard a man shout "Are you ok miss?!" and a female voice saying,
"Oh God, she's bleeding!"
I took a few hesitant steps towards the the edge of the hill and looked down at my severely injured friend.
My eyes widened at the sight...

Weeks after that incident Jaehee was still at the hospital recovering.
I went to visit her almost every day after school and at the weekends.
I apologised so many times to her that I lost count even though she forgave me the first time I said sorry.
I felt bad.
Really bad.
So bad that I promised myself to never meet her, see her or talk to her ever again, for her own safety.I was afraid as a child that I would cause harm to her again and the consequences of me being near her may be even worse next time.
~End of flashback~

Making that decision when I was younger, I kept that promise till now.

Over the years I cannot lie to myself, I have missed her.A lot.She was my childhood friend of course I was going to miss her company.
She probably didn't miss me though.

I sighed as I put the phone down and sat on my couch, turning on the T.V, trying to take my mind off of the past.

A couple of hours past and I started thinking to myself:
Maybe this job is the only shot I have to get money. The rest of the local shops weren't for me plus I've already tried to work in them.

"Ugh"I sighed again.
I sailed the café's number again.

"Hello, this is the de calio café.May I take your order?"The familiar woman's voice asked.

"Hi is this Jaehee Kang?"I questioned.
"Yes it is...Is this the girl I was talking to earlier, Y/N?"She replied.

"Yeah it is.Um..Look, I'm sorry for my reaction earlier I was just surprised. It's not everyday that you coincidentally call your childhood friend on the phone asking for a job."The both of us start to laugh.
"It's okay, I understand.I can't believe I'm talking to you again...It's been years.We should catch up!"Jaehee smiled.
"Yeah but I have a question first."I said.
"Can I get a job at your café?"You questioned.
