chapter twenty one - Forgotten

Lisa's p.o.v

I did not leave Elvy's side and when she woke up the police had to ask her a few questions so I left to go take a shower and a small nap I still hadn't been able to talk to her, I had been in the hospital the whole day since the doctor had recommended that she gets some rest.

When I got home I changed into some warm clothes since I was planning to spend the night at the hospital with Elvy. I checked for any voicemails but there were non, Eddy had not even bothered to call me.

I was still restraining myself from looking so interested in him but we had kissed and i had all the right to feel how I was feeling right now.

I made up my mind and decided to call him up, the phone rang several times but there was no answer, maybe he was busy doing something and would call me later after getting my missed call.

He couldn't have forgotten me that easily

I got ready and on getting to the hospital Elvy was awake but she was still looking very pale, and this shattered me.

"Hey Elvy, how are you feeling now?"

"Like a dead log"

She managed a weak smile and this girl was just something else, I couldn't believe that she would still manage to crack a joke at this condition, somehow I felt warmer and I wanted to kill those morons who had done this to her.

"Ooh Elvy am so sorry I wasn't there to beat up those guys it was so stupid of me what I had said to you about Eddy"

"Never mind you are forgiven luckily the idiots did not do something worse but they tore my clothes and I was lucky that the police were doing their patrol around"

I was glad that she wasn't sexually harassed, that would be a nightmare, the police had to find those criminals and put them behind bars.

"So hows the bumby dude doing?"

"Ooh Elvy don't even ask, he's not going to forgive our absence he even threatened to fire us"

"That bumpy dude, we should go and give him a piece of our mind,"

Elvy was overthinking about all this since that would mean losing the job completely.

"Elvy that would mean forgetting about the job"

"No Lisa there's this job I got actually in an office as a receptionist but I heard the son of the owner will be taking over soon and he will be hiring a personal assistant, who knows he might just hire you"

"Which company is that"

"It deals with the machines it's called The Garcia's M&R"

The Garcia's? That name sounded familiar, the family was among the well know billionaires around and even though I had not seen the son I had heard that he was a very young bachelor and he was famous for his looks."

Its like I had always missed looking at the magazines to see him being the face of the town but I somehow ignored it. I had shut myself from the social life and my life was an enclosure well until recently when I had met Eddy.

The guy had spark some interest in me and even though my status did not match his, there was this feeling that there would be something more between us, well perhaps they were just the expectations.

"That's very good and we can forget about the bumpy dude then"

"Oooh yeah because you've actually met the young bachelor of Mr. Garcia"

"I have? But I don't seem to recall"

"Ooh Lisa, at times I just wanna punch you on the face, you are so blind"

"Stop the mind games girl or I'll punch your bandaged hands"

"Try me, I'm much stronger than I look now"

I had the annoyed look on my face which seemed to accelerate the amusement in Elvy's face.

"Not funny at all"

"Okay the queen of trouble, I love my hands, its non other than Eddy"

"What??"

I was sure my eyes were threatening to pop out, I knew Eddy was from a rich family but i did not know that he was the famous son of the billionaire, her mother was well known to be the queen of fashion when it came to her dressing.

No wonder the little witch Claudia clung to him that much but she was right who knows, perhaps she was also the queen doll daughter of some billionaire.

My heart fell and I had this sick feeling from the pit of my stomach, How would such a guy even want to date someone like me? Ofcourse he was just using me.

I recalled the events of the night we went on a date at his family cabin , why didn't he tell me who he was? Perhaps I was just overthinking about all this, he had been too kind to even let me sleep on his bed.

Or was it just one of his ways to get into my pants.

There were rumours of famous models, actresses and beauty idols running after him, at one point there had been a scandle after he was alleged to have impregnated one of the famous models.

"So worry less Lisa"

I did not know what to think but the important thing was for Lisa to get better.

ays passed and on the fourth day Elvy was discharged from the hospital, she had recoverd fully and even though we had lost our job at the Elliott's she kept telling me about the job at the Garcia's and the sound of it gave me chills since Eddy had not called yet.

I kept trying to call him but it would go to voicemail, somehow this broke my heart since I had been stupid to fall for his charms. When Elvy insisted on me telling her what was wrong I decided to narrate everything from the date to the unanswered calls.

"Am sorry dear, but maybe its time you stop calling him and accept that it lasted when it was too good, this rich guys are morons I heard Del is dating one of Claudia's friends"

"I guess you are right Elvy , I had just thought him to be different"

I saw a wave of sadness in Elvy's eyes since I knew she loved Del, she had always been crazy about him.

It was on a friday and It was just a matter of time before it was monday and we would go check the job. The salary wasn't that bad and I was sure with that I could manage to find my way back to the university even if it was for the evening classes.

This had always been my dream and somehow I felt a flick of hope as for Eddy, I had one last attempt in mind to find out what had happened to him ignoring my calls.
