Roy's POV

I wasn't allowed to do anything physical because my injuries still weren't healed. It drove me crazy. I had all of this pent up energy that I wanted to unload on the Yaguaraté of the Crew, and I wasn't allowed to do more than sit around.

I decided to go for a drive. I liked Andre's Mustang, but Andre wouldn't let anyone drive it. Plus, he was on a Yaguaraté hunt with Dwaine, Orion, Bruno, and the new girl, Trubel.

I took the company car - we all kind of shared cars. It was a Ford Fusion. Bruno drove me to the hospital in that car.

I climbed into the driver's seat and got the car up to a hundred miles an hour on this back road that I found. For whatever reason, the excessive speeds weren't as exhilarating as they usually were. Something just didn't feel right.

I decided to slow down before I got in a high speed chase with some cops. I drove to the city, and I knew the general area where Andre had gone. I was kind of curious to see how our new initiate was doing.

I found Andre's car parked on a dead end road and pulled mine up next to his. I got out and asked him how everything was going, and he told me that the others hadn't come back yet. I woged to catch their scent better and told Andre I would see what they were up to.

I followed the girl's scent for a short ways, finding the scent of blood growing stronger and stronger as her scent did. I soon rounded a corner, finding Orion choking her out. I heard the girl say she was sorry for something and Orion say that she would be sorry. I saw Bruno standing near them, looking worried. He saw me and shrugged.

I didn't think.

I sprinted and tackled Orion. We rolled for a little bit, but I ended up on top. I punched Orion in the face and yelled, "What the hell are you doing?!"

"What are you doing?!" He shot back, squirming out from underneath me. I stood up and stepped away from him.

I looked over at Trubel who was sitting up against the wall of the alley, holding her throat and coughing.

My side hurt. I woged into my human shape and lifted up part of my shirt. I saw that I ripped a few stitches. The wound was already bleeding a little bit.

"Damn it," I huffed under my breath. Orion was already charging at me and getting up in my face.

"Why did you stop me?!" he shouted.

"Because you're being an idiot! Andre wants her and if you kill her, we're all screwed!" I yelled back.

"We could have made it look like an accident!" Orion explained.

"Whatever, man," I said. "She's one of us, now. You can't touch her." I started walking away, but I made eye contact with Trubel on accident. She looked at me suspiciously, probably wondering why I saved her. I pointed at her. "We're even."

I walked away.
