As my heart skips a beat
What does it really mean?
With feelings of regret
Feelings of happiness
Anger
Or simply being upset
I feel the heartbeats
The thumping against my chest
The ace of a tiny conscious trapped inside
Locked away from pride
The heartbeat always says
"This is how I feel today"
